I love Grimmer already. Hope he doesn't end up like other side characters we've had up until now.

Dunno how Grimmer the spy couldn't tell a fraud when he was able to find out falsely accused from actual accused.

Looks like we have 10+ more episodes of finding Johan's history, then 10+ more episodes of catching Johan, and finally, remaining episodes will be about whether they catch him or not.

Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate.

I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was bound to lead me to a slow death.

Schuwald is some detective himself. he could pre-plan for his son to talk to Tenma during a fire? what about possible issues during the hospital treatment?

Grimmer definitely has my attention, wonder how he's going to affect the plot.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Grimmer seems like a bro. I wasn't expecting Tenma to feel remorse for killing someone.

"I was tricked ?" Lol.

This show is so inconsistent concerning the use of language. For example, in this episode they used 'Danke schoen' instead of just stick to the japanese.

Yet another guy who discovered that Tenma is innocent.

1 thing I learned from this show is you can only trust yourself, even the news could be falsified or inaccurate.
He who smiles in a crisis has found someone to blame.

Finally Wolfgang Grimmer enters the plot! :)

Tenma is burdened by how he killed a person.. poor guy. Meeting Grimmer must've helped him, especially the words "Everyone is burdened by their sins. But we must go on".

>being a journalist in a crime show
>knowing a lot of dubious shit about a lot of dubious shit
>"lets have another picnic next time we meet"

Grimmer is a cool dude and has the makings of a new main character, but I know this trope and he's going to die.

I love how a copious amount of random people can figure out that Tenma is innocent but the actual detectives that dedicate their lives to investigating crime can't seem to aim their own piss

Grimmer seems like an interesting character -- seemingly naive and good-natured on one hand, shrewd and calculating on the other. Someone who is able to switch like that is terrifying. The look on the director's face when Grimmer casually confronted him on the streets of Prague gave me chills.

Definitely a refreshing episode -- back to what people usually call "filler episodes," (which I enjoy) -- but a nice slow pace where I can see the pieces moving on the board and savor it. I do wish for a bit more development as to what Tenma and Anna want to do with Johan, since neither of them were able to kill him. So excited to see what we unearth in Prague.

Even a freelance journalist can realize when a someone is framed as a murderer, but not Lunge, one of the detectives who has been in this profession for decades.

Excited to see what happens with Grimmer's character next

But if Tenma's hands stopped trembling after killing Roberto, then why couldn't he shoot Johan?

Grimmer seems super likable so far. Just an all around genuine nice human being. It's a nice addition to the series considering the unlikable characters that are present in the series.

I'm glad he let tenma escape

you serious? Didn't we introduce a new character that seems to be really interesting and potentially crucial to the story? Well anyway you said that 12 years ago so there's a very small chance you'll see this

hahaha no way you responded even though the original comment was 12 years old! But yeah they introduced Grimmer in that episode. I just finished the series, it's such a banger.

Wonder how Tenma managed to jump out of a moving train without breaking an ankle or something.

Not gonna lie, I was initially afraid Grimmer would be portrayed as too naive but I'm glad to see he actually seems to know his stuff. Promising character so far.

Ngl Grimmer is charismatic as hell. Maybe it's just that everyone else in this story wants us to hate them so much. Stupid move getting on a train that checks passports but I guess that's better than crossing the border on foot

Apparently there were more motives to 511 Kinderheim other than building an army of brainwashed super soldiers

I've been looking at the MAL page for weeks, wondering "who tf is Grimmer." I like his personality a lot, he's like the comedic foil to Tenma's straight man schtick.

Grimmer is actually the definition of a GOAT.

This episode was just beautiful. Grimmer is such a nice character. I loved to see how he helped Tenma. Such an intelligent and gentle man.
It was very nice in the end where we saw Prague.

The childrens home 511 becomes a topic again I guess.

I laughed when Tenma managed to jump out of a moving train. The rest of the episode made me realize how shitty Tenma really feels and how he completely lost his identity of being a doctor. Sad as shit.

Grimmer seems like a good fella, as a freelance journalist and an ex-spy, he can get around nations and collect intel rather seamlessly, it's also due to this that he knew Tenma and his innocence, enough for him to even help Tenma go to the Czech border.

Not only that, Grimmer's interest lays almost similar to Tenma, while Tenma's final objective is to confront and end Johan, Grimmer's objective is to find out all about the orphanage Johan was in.
