29 pages of characters talking and I absolutely loved it. The new characters are great too, and I'm glad we're cutting straight into the test for next chapter.

soo much thought given here. but still, can't guess at all. this series always full of surprise so i have faith it's not going to disappoint me.

29 pages of text wall that actually includes a bunch of character's information that is very old people probably already forgot about them. Ashihara do be flexing his big brain this time.

First off, we were introduced by the whole A-rank squad now. One thing i noticed is that there are 2 "new" battle positions, at least if my scanlation source is accurate. Those are "Specialist" from Kusakabe (Midorikawa's) squad, and "Supporter" from the new Katagiri squad. My guess is that either both are specialized position akin to A-2 captain's "Trapper", or one of them are mistranslated All-Rounder, because i find it weird to not see any from the new faces. Might have to look at the scanlation of Border Agent files somewhere on the internet again to confirms it.

And next, the whole bunch of analysis section. They really dissect every single thing about the upcoming test, from each agent's possible interaction, their battle performance expectation, and even (for some) the captains' logic for choosing their teammate. Before this chapter, i only guessed that they're choosing their teammates only from their positions, battle style, and the no-same team restriction. Turns out Ashihara thought a LOT deeper than that, even measuring each agent's statistics like trion capacity and speed (this I never expected).

Lastly, I really liked how smooth the transition between each squads' narration is. And of course, we have the usual Ashihara-style commentary section with chibi faces and troll comments for every team.

Ever since the monthly switch it was obvious that this is better weekly or binged, but these last few information chapters have really driven that home. Thinking I should do a reread sometime soon for a refresher now actually.

I’m loving this!!
We’re getting so much information from every single character and it’s interesting to see everyone’s opinion on who’s got an advantage.
It also gives a lot of personality to all the new people we’ve been introduced. It’s fascinating how they all interact, talk and think of each other. Or write LOL.
Am I the only one loving the little drawings?! Ninomiya: I’m a dumb lion RAWR (that seems like Izumi’s fault XD), Kodera: superior specimen, Kuruma: godly leader...
It’s always one of my favorite thing in World Trigger, how everything feels very real and almost normal, even with ‘powers’. All the people feel like people, they know someone else from school, or from joint training, they have their group of friends outside their squad, they worry about studying and such...

I know I'm late but, about what you said about the Katagiri squad, her position as a "supporter" is incorrect. It's actually a "spotter", and it's a real life position in a military. Their job is to assist the sniper [not in a literal sense, that's the shortest meaning I could come up with].

As for the Kusakabe unit (Midorikawa's unit) I double checked it and I didn't read any "specialist" as a position. As far as I know of Midorikawa's an "attacker", Kuro-megane (Ninomiya zealot) is a "gunner", handsome black haired guy's an "all rounder", and the blonde-megane is a "sniper", and of course their leader is their "operator".

I'm guessing the "specialist" is referred to their operator(???).

Yeah, I didn't use the name of the Kusakabe squad, not like we know them by their names so I just physically described them instead.

Ah, thanks for the info. Yeah, my scanlation site translated All-Rounder to Specialist for some reason (handsome black hair). As for Spotter, based on what you say, i guess she's loaded with weird stuff like the dummy beacon from 2nd Azuma B-rank battle and not directly goes into combat.
