| Welcome to the MyAnimeList Awards. This is a series of friendly competitions on different aspects of the website. Currently we have competitions on the best anime list design, the best signature design, the best manga list design, wallpaper challenges, art jams and the Icontest. ----------------------------------------- Important Dates April 1st: Best Anime List Design February-March NOMINATIONS Round April 15th: Best Anime List Design February-March VOTING Round May 1st: Best Signature Design February-March NOMINATIONS Round May 15th: Best Signature Design February-March VOTING Round June 1st: Best Manga List Design February-March NOMINATIONS Round June 15th Best Manga List Design February-March VOTING Round Be sure to get your list and signature designs up before the start dates so people have time to see your work and consider nominating you. ----------------------------------------- Best Anime List Design This is a monthly competition to judge who has the best anime list design on MyAnimeList. We will start off by having a nominations round where each member of MAL is able to nominate up to two members who they think deserve to win the award. After two week we will move to the voting round where the top 5 most nominated members will be placed in a poll for everyone to vote on. Best Manga List Design This is a monthly competition to judge who has the best anime list design on MyAnimeList. | well i'm leaving for florida actually tomorrow, so you won't get my nominations until the 4th or 5th 'cause that's when i'll be back (grandparents don't know what the internet is :D). |
| Hmm I dont recall seeing this forum here a few days ago... Maby I am just blind. Regardless of such details though, this does seem somewhat entertaining. Ill have to start working on my list here some time soon |

| I need to set a time, I can never tell when it is past midnight for you guys. I'm already almost 10 hours into the first of June here. When does it become first of June in America? :P And yeah, feel free to get nominations in whenever you want. Well, before the voting date. I suggest making your list all pretty ASAP. Because once people start nominating, even if you make it nice before voting starts it might be too late. | Why? Too many things running at a time sometimes confuse people. Besides, this way we have more activities running throughout MAL at different times. |

| I don't think that's a good idea. Ever since *cough*a certain*cough*someone*cough* started to use pictures on the profile page, people started putting way too many pictures in there using text on those pictures no one can read. In cotrast to the anime list and the signature, that place wasn't supposed to be visually outstanding. I think having list and sig awards is sufficient. |

"way too many pictures" (I'm guilty has charged ^^) It was just a wild idea that crossed my mind, so I had to post. It could possibly be good to have people work on filling their profiles. I'm also ok with the current awards.. so I'll leave that to you guys ^_^ |

| Just giving a bump to this. Reminding everyone to take a look at the important dates. Nominations for signature design will begin in two days so if you want to take part and work on your signature, I suggest you do it now. :D |

| Important dates have been updated. Nominations and Voting for Best List Design and Best Signature Design will now run for two weeks each. Voting for Best List Design and Nominations for Best Signature Design will happen at the same time (and the Art Jams and whatever else we have). Now everyone has more time to participate. So participate! |

| Updated dates now. So yeah, seperating anime and manga list designs. Anyone who wants to enter the manga list design contest better start working on their lists now. Rules won't be posted until nomination begins for that but I WILL NOT allow a user to be nominated if their anime and manga list is the same thing at the same time and they were in the top 10 of the anime list design contest. Meaning that if their manga list uses the same design as their old anime list (current anime list design is different) that's fine. Although I wonder if people will nominate old designs anyway. Confusing? Uhh.. bottom line, just have a different anime and manga list to make our lives easier. Don't read manga? Don't purposely fill in your manga list with fake entries. That's pretty retarded. Either start reading manga or try to make a list design that compliments little entries or just forget about it and work more on your anime list design or signatures. |
