Negima!
| From AnimeNewsNetwork... Manga creator Ken Akamatsu's May 18 blog entry has confirmed reports that a live-action adaptation of Negima! Magister Negi Magi is in the works. He previously hinted at a "big surprise announcement coming in April" in a February 27 blog entry. Japanese fans then found a March 13 entry in actress Ai Tanimoto's blog (since deleted) that said a live-action Negima! adaptation will broadcast next year. Akamatsu says Weekly Sh?nen Magazine had planned to make the announcement in issue #25 of 2007, on sale May 23. He also discusses the overwhelming experience of casting 31 "3D" girls for the story's all-female class. Source: Moon Phase Scary. Some young Japanese boy that is supposed to depict a 10-year-old mage from Wales and eventually making out with some of his students (who a number are adult-like even if they are supposedly 14).Imagine the budget they would need. The huge casting, the magic, the talking ferret. With every adaptation of Negima sucking so badly so far I wonder how long this will continue (or how many more attempts we will get). |
| O_o The manga is superb but everything else didn't work out.. and how are they suppose to put a 10 year old boy between 31 girls and let exident happen? I don't think it will work out... or just take as long as the NGE live action.. |

| I dont think it will work out either but i am still looking forward to it. It would just be hilarious to see a manga like Negima in live-action form. |

LMAO, i was just saying last night before i read this thread. i wondered if thy could get away with a negima live action. now apparently they are going to try. furthor more, the special effects are going to have to be increadable. have yall finished the festivle story arc in the manga. its well, awesome. i only own the first of the anime dvds, and was dissapointed. but i would like to rent them all, to watch atleast once. |

| Oh. Dear. Haruhi. What have they done? How horrendous, as expected. And what have they done to Chamo? He's an animated PATCH on Negi's jacket! And wtf with Makie stripping in class into her gymnastics outfit. ...Anyway, it seems they're building up some Asuna drama. Well, it's always been about Asuna. Can't wait to see Eva, Chachamaru, Sayo, Setsuna, and some Pactios. :P *sigh* Negima will never get a decent adaptation, will it. I guess that it isn't one of those super-popular things to spend money on, being a very long manga series. |
| Well i watched about 10 mins of it, was pretty funny ;D. From what i saw/payed attention to, yeah, it was pretty bad. Negi was hilarious thou XD. oh yeah Makie was too. |

| The raws are out, which I'm watching. Ugh, and most of them are at a resolution that my crappy laptop can only barely handle. I honestly want to see how this plays out, even if I can't understand what they're saying. If you've read the manga, you can guess, but they don't follow it much. It's terrible. But I just can't stop watching :P I wish someone would sub it. |
| I saw the trailer. OMG, it's rather scary in some places to watch Negima in live action. I demand some awesome Setsuna sword action! I hope the actress for her knows how to use a sword to some extent. Edit: ROFL, apparently this might be cancelled (due to low viewer ratings and hate mail from fans). However, all episodes have already been made so they might be released somewhere. Just not on TV. |

Just not on TV. lol Aw. You never know when they saved all the amazing stuff for the end :P I expect some attempt at an epic battle (another Negi vs. Eva battle? -_-;). Maybe they can just put all the episodes on the Internet and let people watch it whenever they like. No one would probably bother to buy cheap DVDs to watch this series. |

| ima huge negi-fan so i dont have a problem with the series.... well.. that BIG of a problem at least. i only watch it to see how well they can produce this series and so far.... its ok. the acting gets better by the episode. |

It'd cost too much to throw the stuntman-Keitaro into the air every 5 minutes. haha, Nevermind the Su's inventions xD @melancholy - None of them have pink, or blue, or purple, or red, or green hair!?!?!? haha. I guess the budget didn't include hair dye :( lol I might try watching this if anyone decides to come out with a sub. hell, I might watch a raw episode and try to figure out who's supposed to be who xD |

| She's not that big of a character in the show yet, but you'll see her with the ribbon. She even randomly changes into her gymnastic uniform in one episode in the middle of class. I think they give their actresses random screen time just so that they have some part. Since they are paying real people this time to show up in the show. |

And it's not like it's unusual for a female to voice a male character (like in the anime itself). Although, not sure how common or uncommon that is in live-action shows. |

| I couldn't make it through the first episode. It was too painful. I am glad they didn't go with the colored hair though. I really would not want to see them all with cosplay wigs on. Then again, they did it with live action sailor moon... yet I think it would just be worse here. Negi being a girl ruined the show for me ^_^ |

| its not that bad imo. First time I heard about this and saw the cast i thought it'll be awful but after couple of eps you kinda get used to it. I actually like it now, last ep (ep9 i think) was hilarious |
