Finally, kind of expecting that They'll show the Big Revelation in the End of the series... But I'm glad They actually Nailed It! Though I'm kind of disappointed They didn't show the Original Reactions of Erina from the manga, They're priceless lol...

Can't wait for the Promotion Exams Arc in April 2018, and...

As a manga reader, I would say 9/10 Overall for this series... Better than S2, but still not as good as S1.

YESSSSSS You have no idea how good that reveal felt, wait maybe you do ^_^'

I want to scream at the top of my lungs ^_^

Also the shokugeki felt like a bit of a cop out but I suppose it had to play out that way ^_^'

Better get that season 4 soon, I want to see Nakimi's reaction properly >.<.

That plot twist! He's doing all of it for the sake of Souma's father. I enjoyed the whole thing but not as much compared to first and second season. Maybe it's because of the lack of major cook-offs(only 3) and foodgasms. Autumn Election is the best arc for me so maybe it's not fair to compare them. Trailer for 4th season looks hype. I hope the show goes back to its best form. Now we all wait.

Seriously? They choose the moment we all wanted to see, as the cliffhanger of the season? Jeez, that's disappointing, just like this whole season.

I can't stop thinking what happened when Erina knew about Yukihira's father!! Wtf did they cut them down to 12 episodes anyway? Was good being 24 episodes! Well, I CANT FUCKING WAIT FOR SEASON 4!!!

So like, in a way, I like that Azami's a catalyst that seems to push forward a relationship development between Souma & Erina, I'm not a big fan of the execution of it all. His,"muh senpai was ruined" reasons leave something to be desired. And when you think about it, if we're going in that direction of Souma x Erina, Erina could've been shown developing more natural feelings of appreciation & respect for him as she'd watch & taste his cooking. While I find this ship spicy, I can't help but say that Megumi's relationship with Souma has been way more natural and would be a good waifu.

That aside, other aspects of this season were lacking compared to previous ones as others have pointed out many times before. The opponents or well, antagonists in this case ain't given much time, like those random folks at central ~ they pop out a bit, most win, some get defeated and that's that. Who the fck are they? More details pls? No? Okay.

Then there's the foodgasms themselves ~ just look at the ones in the 1st season and even the 2nd, and compare em to these. These are just "characters clothes rip around em in tiny pieces", that's it. No more innuendos or hilariously creative "wtf Japan?" moments regarding foodgasms, which I think is pretty important, seeing as a lot of people probably got into this anime & manga using those as their initial attraction, even if they stuck around for other things.

I gave the previous seasons both 9/10, but 7/10 for this and it's probably generous compared to what other fans gave it ~ and their disappointed is legit, altho maybe a bit exaggerated at times. Props to Draconix814 for that "the SAO escalation problem btw ,etc" thread, t'was a great read :D

Read the manga chapters 150 and 151. The reactions are priceless.

Haha truly hilarious indeed, but why didn't they do this earlier because in chapter 151 you can also see that Satoshi Isshiki got fired as an elite 10 seat while this happened episodes ago in the anime.

I honestly didn't feel anything this season unlike last season which made me a bit tary eyed. I used to care last season but it seems like I don't even care anymore even though there's a lot happening in totsuki this season, it feels like the tension isn't there. Overall a downgrade of the past 2 seasons 6/10

After watching all episodes Azami's and Team Central's goal is similar to Team Flare from Pokemon. Both team leaders want to eliminate everything that is considered "ugly" to them. In Azami's case, he wants to eliminate all restaurants that are not worthy. The only thing is that if all of the characters from Team Central were in Pokemon then it will take much longer to beat them. Central has about 8 elite members (Since Erina and Isshiki are not direct Central members), some members having subordinates.
Overall, great season. Food Wars managed to deliver a lot of emotions this season. I can't wait for the next season.

What the hell? Somebody told me this would be 24 episodes but the 2nd cour is in spring 2018. Well that's kind of annoying, as great as this plot twist was, this was too much of a retarded cliffhanger to end the season with.

3rd Season has the same pacing issue like the 2nd season, I hope they fix it on the next season. Though Overall it was a still decent adaptation.

Honestly, this was the worst of the seasons. We keep ramping up to good stuff but the execution is either weak or being in the transition phase is causing this underwhelming feeling.

This series has steadily dropped it's entertainment factor each season. S1 is great, S2 is good, and S3 is very so-so. Maybe it's the 1-cour constraint or, again, maybe it's just the story transition phase.

In any case, I always enjoy watching this each week but it was not stellar. The lack of excitement and tension which drew all of us in season 1 I personally feel was absent this whole season.

Clothes exploded again... AND APPARENTLY THAT WAS THE LAST EPISODE. Some things are revealed, and stuff happened... was all a bit... quick though. The pacing really wasn't good, and it kind of screwed things up here and there, especially with this finale. Hoping they do a better job presenting their work in the spring. I'll see all yall then. 7/10.

I'm a bit sad this season had to be cut and made into a split cour. Just doesn't feel like a "full" season, and you can definitely tell they had to just cut it off at a certain point. I'm guessing they fell behind in production?

But anyways, I think they really nailed it when they casted Akira Ishida as Eishi! And I would've liked to have seen more of how Erina reacts and interacts with Souma now that she knows haha. But at least we won't have to wait too long for the next cour. Looking forward to it!

This season was alright. Not exceptionally great, mind. It feels like it's setting up plot points for next season, which I am looking forward to greatly, as some of the plot points seem genuinely interesting. Central is a good concept and I look forward to seeing what they do with it next season.

Got worried for a second. Read somewhere on a different site that someone said they were disappointed that the big reveal scene with Soma/Azami/Erina didn't happen. Glad they were misinformed.

Also glad this ended up being split cour. The pacing was a little fast and the plot was a bit hectic and scattered. If it had just been these 12 episodes I would've reviewed it a bit negatively. Still sad that season 2 was only 13 episodes (though it made sense content wise). So hopefully the next arc makes up for it.

Manga readers seem to be saying on here that the big reveal was done way better in the manga. Will probably have to go read that chapter now to see for myself.

Also for manga readers, can someone give some tidbits about what to expect in the train arc? Just some general idea of what the arc and being on the train is about, and maybe cocktease some huge important stuff without dropping real spoilers.

Stupid yukihira, don't you know by now that the chef who has his dish tasted first has a dramatically higher chance of losing the shokugeki? Oh well, decent episode. I'm glad the big reveal about yukihira's dad to Erina has finally been made. That little tidbit of information took 3 seasons to be revealed to her.

What a best way to end this season 3 (to be honest im shock that its the finale episode, i thought its gonna be a 24 or 25 episode), it ended with a revelation that Juichiro is Yukihira's dad. and on that scene is Erina, Azami , and Polar Star Dormitory residents... great way to end it...

*and well looking for its season 4... hahaha

the whole season deserves 6/7 but just because im still hyped about the end of last episode i give it a 8/10. Seasons become more boring episode per episode everytime so i hope season 4 will be short ... (im sure there will be one) is there enough material for those who did read the manga?

Of all the seasons of this show, this was the hardest one for me to rate. I felt like a lot of the episodes were rushed, there was an episode where Yukihira didn't know what a fucking salamander was??? I mean, I get that there are going to be a LOT of people that watch this show that don't know how to cook/don't know what that is, but it was weird how they decided to introduce it by having Yukihira, the main character of a cooking anime where everyone in the school is basically a fucking master chef, not know what one is....this season felt like it had a lot of flaws.

On the other hand, I still enjoyed the shit out of it, and I loved the plot of the whole arc....

7/10

The pacing was just too much of a downer for me, gave the last 2 seasons an 8, and if it wasn't for the arc plot I might have given it a lower rating.

While the last couple of episodes were pretty good, the anime has still failed to maintain the level of awesomeness of season 1. Erina became a whole lot more likeable in this season although her haplessness was a bit downer. Also, they are still trying to balance it out with Megumi as one of the three main characters of this anime when I can clearly see it is more about Soma and Erina.

I think the character that I liked the most in this season is Alice. No wonder why she is the fourth most popular character.

I would give this season a 7.5/10 because the whole Central thingy and Erina Daddy seemed forced but will round it up to an 8/10 because it still had Megumi in it.

I do not think the show are lowering the level. Nor do I agree with those who assert that the mid-season finale was awesome.

I can't find the revelation of Souma's father as something meaningful enough to be a mid-season finale cliffhanger. But, I can't deny that it would be wonderful to see a shokugeki between him and Erina-sama's Father in some point in the future (I haven't read the manga, so I can't tell if this happen or not).

In my humble opinion this season was going well until Erina's father ruined the flow of the anime with his appearance/presence and the blackmail perpetrator role & her daughter stockholm syndrome victim Hentai undertone (Even tho I’m an anime only watcher I understand why he is needed [for plot sake]) but I don’t like this central stuff…
