| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah, Souma vs Eishi for the third season finale. I find it amusing that they still add a lot of humor into this episode between the two despite the importance of the match. Foodgasm was extremely evident lol, RIP Megumi and Hisako Eishi proves himself as why he's the number 1 seat. I think Souma did really good too but is no match for him. This was pretty much setting up for the Spring 2018 season. I hope it improves. Personally, I think this was the weakest of the Food Wars Seasons so far. Erina's father still creeps the fuck out of me The cliffhanger :o |

| Damn that episode was worthy to be called a midseason final. The foodgasmn killed it this time. Overall it was a great watch again,but I still prefered the first and second season a bit over this one,nevertheless I'm hyped for the second cour in spring. |

| First half of ep played out how I assumed, but man the cliffhanger at the end I can't!!!! The hype continues to build. Spring 2018 needs to hurry up already lol. ATM i'm looking forward to the second half more than Christmas or New Years XD |

| Someone knew exactly what they were doing when they made the SECOND HALF A SEPARATE PAGE DUE TO CONTINUITY AIRING ON TV!!!!1! This was clearly a "last episode" so can I mark it off my watching list now and forget about it until spring? pls? |

| Haha, it was about time Erina knew. So the entire plan has its motives from Souma's dad? What? By the way, I'm not sure where the manga is, but this entire time, I've been waiting for information on Souma's mother. Whether she's deceased or alive, there is huge room for plot development. |
| Well it was no surprise that Tsukasa was going to win that impromptu Shokugeki. There's no way Souma would all of a sudden beat the Elite Ten's top dog. At least he realizes just how big the gap is between him and Tsukasa, and can use that as motivation to reach that level. I'm also interested in learning more about Azami's plan, now that it's been revealed that it has something to do with Souma's dad. Overall, I liked this season and I'm excited for the next. A lot of people seemed to not like this season but I thought it was just fine, at least for me it still felt like the other two seasons. Oh look, THAT moment has finally happened. THAT moment, which was no longer much of a surprise because of the manga readers who don't know how to keep their damn spoilers out of the anime threads (then again, I feel like even without spoilers it would probably be easy to figure out what they were referring to, but still....). Hopefully they're happy now, I remember the uproar when it got "omitted," although it's obvious the anime was rearranging stuff and it would show up eventually. There's no way something like this would just get cut out completely. Between now and April, I'm most definitely getting myself caught up with the manga so I don't have to worry about annoying manga readers not bothering to cover up spoilers. |

| That scene at the end was the one all the manga readers were complaining about earlier in the season. As I suspected, they just cut it out and rewrote it a little bit to fit in as a nice season finale. It originally happened at the celebration for Yukihira's win. "We're doing this again?" Overall, pretty nice season, although it felt kind rushed and some of the editing was weird (those pans and zooms come to mind) |

| Eh. The reveal was done WAAAY better in the manga. They even cut out erinas reaction. 3/5 episode just for that. Everything else was fine. |

| Season 3 was pretty great. I'm relieved, since the 2nd season just wasn't that much fun. The food market arc at the beginning was one of the best, it kept me tense all the way! Can't wait for the 4th plate in the spring. |

| Erina finally knows. This was a good episode. Not surprised that Tsukasa defeated Souma since Tsukasa is the First Seat. Both of their dishes were impressive. Another great season. Looking forward to the next one. |

| The ultimate reveal, boom! Finally the cat's outta the bag. I would think Erina would have a much more exaggerated reaction, but all she focusses on is the fact that her father's plan is somehow related to Souma's dad. Like most everybody, I got messed up on the episodes too because of what I heard, but anyway can't wait until the spring. |
| Tsukasa destroying Souma was obvious but at least he preferred to decline what he originally planned to do :P But the best part happened at the end... The reveal scene was so epic! What are you going to do, Miss Erina? Someone has to apologise now xD Excellent season, looking forward to the next one ^^ |

It ended with Chapter 166 but the last scene where it was revealed that Saiba is Soumas Dad was in Chapter 151. There are a few scenes missing in the anime, so if you want to read the Manga, start with Chapter 151 and continue with Chapter 167. For the midseason finale: I liked it. It was to be expected that Souma can't win against Tsukasa yet, but he's shown some fighting spirit and made an amazing dish, which even surprised Tsukasa. It was nice to see the reveal scene finally animated although they haven't shown all of Erinas reactions yet. At least we won't have to wait a whole year for the second half of this season. |

| Great dishes from both of them, souma wins in creativity but too bad that the taste matters most. Tsukasa lets him go and joining central is avoided XD Everyone finds out that souma is juichirou's son :O To Be Continued. 9/10 |

| Ending this season here felt too sudden, just when things started getting interesting... Well, it looks like we will have more soon, so... 7.5/10. Giving it an 8 on my completed list because I think that next part WILL deliver. |

| It wasn't that great of a ride compared to the first season. The new villian didn't impress me nor his objectives. Everything I liked about this show was placed at the background (school life, hell's kitchen tests with the teachers, interaction between the students while learning). That's a good example of why characterization may be an overall negative to a show (the author is trying too hard to give Erina more depth). 7/10 |

| Well it was likely plan to have 3rd season end before christmas and new year. Autumn 2018 seem like a good date to spot it on, manga also need to catch up so we can get a fully season. Ah it kind of remind me about this scene in manga, kind of lacking but still decent. :P |

| Reveal could have been done better. They kinda cut Erina's reaction, which made reveal in the manga better. But it was ok I guess. Solid season. I'm glad that it will continue as soon as in spring. |
| Finally! The ending was brilliantly done! Detail of Erina face after she learnt the secret was just priceless. I really wonder ho this changes the dynamic of the show. It was kinda obvious Souma would lose againts First Seat so the first part was kinda predictable but still good, we even got Erina clothes torn .D First cour of this season was definitely better than the last season but I believe the second one could be even better. 7/10 Solid and enjoyable season with many great episodes and few weaker ones. Not really on par with S1 but very close to. |
