Ok, I think it's pretty interesting that this episode is kind of addressing issues that happened in the previous one. Which is cheering up Tsuchida since he still feels down from messing the confession to Yamamoto in the previous episode. It's been a while since I've watched the earlier episodes of this anime, but as far as I remember, most of the episodes are self-contained stories. So seeing this one being kind of the opposite is rather interesting. And to be fair, some elements of this episode feels fit for a season finale.
Yeah, I've always wondered what's up with Tsuchida being a kindergarten teacher. I find his character relatable, but his motivations for being a teacher feels shallow and one dimensional. As in it's the type of thing that only happens in anime? Since I don't think anyone would become a kindergarten teacher just because you think your co-workers would be hot. I mean, why not a middle or high school teacher? I don't know, I guess I'm speaking from my perspective since I'm not fond of children (yeah, I know, the irony of watching an anime featuring kids). I guess he just really likes Yamamoto, and love doesn't have to have a logical explanation. But yeah, it's nice to see that the anime is kind of developing and exploring this thing I've been wondering.
Damn, I love that juxtaposition of Mayumi calling Nanako dense, despite the adjective being applicable to her as well.
Yamamoto is already a great teacher! What is she talking about?
The ED's kind of interesting. The caricatured art style makes it kind of feel like a western cartoon.
Seems like next episode we'll be finally seeing Anzu's father, who we didn't see previously. Well, that's one way to end a season. Honestly, though. I'd be predicting that the romance between Yamamoto and Tsuchida won't be resolved that much next episode? The entire season, their "romance" hasn't progressed that much. If it progressed in the final episode, it would feel "forced", if you get what I mean. So yeah, I think this anime is meant to be more than one season. Oh well, let's just see. |
