| The character design kind of reminds me of the Atelier games. The often used tracking shot was quite weird, but interesting. Boy meets girl and gets mysterious power. So far, so ordinary. I enjoyed this episode. If nothing else, it will be my guilty pleasure of winter. |

| For me, this wasn't good. I was and still am confused on just what I saw beyond just what the supposed story is. The camera work throughout this was just odd to me. I started getting an increasing headache watching this, that rarely (if ever) happens to me. Things were happening without much of a break to let a single explanation (visual or spoken) through. The moaning didn't help my confusion one bit. |
| This show triggered my Absolute Duo PTSD. Although cringey it is watchable for me, the MCs reaction in the shower scene next episode will determine whether I stay or not though. That usually is a good indicator about what type of character we're going to have. |
| We're only 2 weeks into 2017 but it looks like we already have our comedy of the year. Don't remember the last time I laughed this much in an anime episode (Hell, even the title made me chuckle). This was a complete mess through and through...and I'm loving it. |

| The actual 2d animation quality is really good, technically speaking. However, the directing is complete ass where camera would seem like it's moving around for no good reason. The characters didn't even seem like they meshed with the backgrounds half the time, especially since someone thought it'd be a good idea to shove in CG chains everywhere. Also, you could end up killing yourself playing a drinking game based on how many unnecessary lens flares that were present in most of the shots. All in all, the visuals were so distracting I couldn't tell what the hell was going on, though I doubt the writing was any good to begin with since pretentious-sounding words were thrown left and right with no rhyme or reason. And let's not forget the awkward fanservice... Will probably watch more anyway to see how much more of a trainwreck this becomes. I think I really like bashing on this show. |

| Don´t like it. BUT i will give it a huge bonus for NO static background characters. That they all were moving and did things. (it´s one thing that bugs me most in animes) So for that i give them credit. |
| So that's what an acid trip is like. Honestly, this whole thing was too trippy to really understand. The camera shots were interesting to say the least, but most felt really disorienting. It felt like I was looking through a fish eye lens a majority of the episode. The camera shots seem overly ambitious for the project, as it has a budget of something like 15 frames per second. Which make the show look even worse. As others have compared, this seems fairly similar to K. The coloring, camera angles, backgrounds designs, etc. The coloring in this show is fairly unique, and I didn't mind it. The one thing I can say I actually liked were the designs of the buildings. They were so odd and unconventional that each one really caught my attention. Other than that, this really made no sense. There was no real cohesion as it introduced new plot points throughout the episode. Obviously we'll probably get an explanation on most things next episode, but man this was weird. I'll give it until episode 3. |

His weapon being a sword was kinda lame and the bad guy was an asshole that I'm glad the show killed off first(hopefully). The chains animation looked awful too. Given how 2016 was a mess, I'm pretty sure 2017 can't be worse right? |

I'm not going to bother repeating what everyone else said already but ye, this anime was pretty bad lol. Not sure if I should watch the next episode for the fan service though. Looks like we'll get a shower scene. |

| At least the show wasn't as bland as 90% of its competition this season. Was the story promising? No. Were the characters interesting? No. What about the Fanservice? Eh. Was the animation good? Not necessarily, but at least it was interesting. There was a lot of movement on the background characters and while the Backgrounds and chains looked sometimes horrendous, sometimes awkward... some of the digital effects had a nice touch. I can see some of these techniques being put to good use in the future - though maybe not on this show. This deserves one more episode, though the preview certainly didn't look that good. |

| Hmmm...I'm wondering how stoned GoHands was when they made this show. Even to say the word 'ambitious' would be a gross understatement. Although the visuals and OST are nice, the mix of 2D and 3D animations was thrown into a food blender. It's like the show can't decide if it wanted to be a full-on 3D cgi show or not and thus, it created this. Other than that, it was a pretty below average start, but I'm willing to keep on watching (and suffering) to see if the show can get any grasp of consistency anytime soon. The last show I watched due to its ambitiousness was Taboo Tattoo, and at least most of its fighting scenes had pretty good animation. Shame that the rest of the show was poor. =/ |
