| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The finale is so intense! Fighting in the underground while trying to survive.. Satou also makes his last stand with his Ajin powers. I can see the fear on Kei's face though. Poor Izumi...getting hurt like that looked painful but at least she survivesl. Pretty thrilling episode and imo, quite entertaining way to wrap up the season. Kei tried to overcome his own personal demons as well. I can't help but laugh a little at Satou and his comrade talking while they were captured. 7/10. |

| What a cool episode!! Satou's identity is also revealed!! There is an explosion in the end of episode, indicating that Satou and Tanaka managed to escape "again". I hope there is a sequel... really love the antagonist, Satou, he's my most favorite one!! |

| That was a crazy finale. Awesome battles everywhere! Tanaka's motives are still retarded but other than that I loved this episode. Seeing Satou getting rekted by those IBMs was great to watch. Seeing the old him die sent chills down my spine. That tease for the 3rd OVA was cool. Satou escaping because he's Satou was a bit surprising. Time for a second play through! Although the chances for a 3rd season are non existent considering how different this season was compared to the manga. Possibly my favourite moment of the series.  |

| The ending was intense! I didn't expect all those ajins to gang up on Satou. Though I think it's the only way they could've won. Kei is just no match for Satou's strength. Anyway, excitiing finale. Time to binge-read the manga. :D  |

| This finale was thrilling from beginning to end. So much craziness and tension with all of it leading up to that awesome Multi-IBM beat down that Kei managed to pull off. I found it a bit amusing that even though Satou was defeated, his goal of getting equal rights for Ajin still ended up being met. Looks like he managed to escape captivity at the end, it seems. There's just no stopping this guy. This whole season, and the Satou badassery in particular, was just as awesome as the first. I think it would have been nice to see Kai just one more time in the finale, but oh well. 7/10 for this one. |

| Awesome finale episode. Satou on the hunt. Love IBM fights. YOO!! Nakano summoned his IBM. DAMN Nagai summoned so many IBM's. They are so scary. Satou got wrecked. Nice to see Ajin's get some rights to live a peaceful life. Can't keep Satou locked up for long. Always got a plan. Overall a great 2nd Season. Enjoyed this more that the 1st one. Even the original content was enjoyable to watch. After that ending I would love a 3rd Season. 8/10. |

| That was amazing, literally one of the best lowkey anime of the season. That ending makes me want a damn 3rd season but if this season varied from the source then I guess the doubt is real eh? Oh well. |

| Is there even a way to completely erase Ajin from existence ? You cut off Ajin's head but it regrows and as we saw it contains the same thinking and memories..? When they showed Satou and Tanaka in costumes I thought that they are being sent to Space :D I guess this way they would totally be 'deleted' from planet. Would like some explanation on how Ajin's came to be. Either in manga or next season if it happens.. |

| That was a really good finale, Pretty intense. That Satou beatdown by that flood phenomenon that Kei pulled off was awesome, The way Satou was beheaded was epic. Wonder how Kei pulled it off though? Looks like the Ajin finally got their rights, Glad for them. :D Hahaha, Satou escaped. XD Why did I not expect that? xD Overall, This was a really entertaining and thrilling season. Not much to say otherwise, everything came together nicely. Would have loved a little more Kai screen time though. 7/10 , I suppose it's doubtful if we'll get an S3 but I would love to watch one if there is one. |

| So somebody have an idea how he blow up the plane, or somebody else helped him? Because he got his head chopped off, and was raineddown with bullets from chopper, so he have new head now (so he couldn't hide timer/switch for bomb) and if there was a bomb in that body, I'm pretty sure there isn't now :D |

| Well, that was not exactly how I expected this series to end, but I'd say I'm very satisfied with how this finale, and this second season as a whole, played out in the end. Here's hoping for a third season after Satou's inevitable escape. 8/10 |
| Regardless of anime and manga diversions, please let this satou thing END already!! This season was much better than the previous one, I agree, and I gave it an 8, which is nice, but after a whole season of trying to deal with Satou, he escapes "again"? Now this is under risk of being bullshit. Just let it go jeez. Let us love the experience and end it. |
| I have to say, this show turned out to be better than I was expecting it to be. And Phantom Phenomenon was balls deep, take that Satou! Wonder if the films will cover things not seen from season 2 or just a compilation of it? |

| Dropped my score compared to the first season. An open end like this is already annoying with normal storys. But the core problem with aijin like satou is that you dont know what to do with them. The way this ended basically makes the whole season useless. I have the feeling this is all anime original right? Satou was a great villain. Even if everything was just a game for him. Ajin gained human rights. So you could say he won. The combination of an overall capable character combined with immortality makes him easily one of the best anime villains of the last years. This ending just doesnt fit in with the rest of the series. Why would you keep them conscious? On a plane with apparently no escort? The fight scenes where nice.. |

| This episode is 5/5. Anime is 8/10 - almost a 9. Yes they made an own story for the anime and not following the manga anymore. But the OST (especially "the end of escape) is great and the chars are great. I liked Tosaki and Shimomura and how he acts cold sometimes but still cares (as we could see at the end when he revealed about the safe/key with the proof that she is an Ajin). And professor Ogura of course ... he was funny. If they made a bit better plot with actually trying to research the Ajin in order to fight them (not only using them as test subjects to develop weapons and stuff) this could have been 9-10 as score for me. |
Yeah, they stopped taking material from the manga a few episodes in. That's why this season didn't feel as intense and vile as the first one. I really hope they wait for the manga to progress before (if) they do a 3rd season. |

| I forgot to bring this up last week, but the fuck is Tanaka doing? Why? Until recently he was the first to question Sato's behavior, but he's the only one who hasn't defected. Maybe he thinks he's too far gone and that he'd be arrested? He's been with Sato since the start and has done no shortage of heinous shit after all. That said, he should still be aware that he's fighting an entirely pointless battle at this point. Can't really say I'm too pleased with how this ending panned out. Most of the episode was fine but things fell off in the last third. I get what the flood phenomenon is and all (and if you don't, go watch the 1st OVA), but having that rear up at the end to save Kei feels less like a satisfying moment and more like absurdly dumb luck. I don't remember if he's ever been hinted at being able to do such a thing, but I'm pretty sure he hasn't. Not that it really matters since the Americans appeared immediately afterwards so I'm not even sure that Sato would even have the time to cleave his neck all the way through. That and I think the script writers forgot a detail. Sure beheaded Ajin's can grow new heads, but that only happens if the severed head is either too far away or isn't tightly secured, of which neither was the case here. The last few episodes seem to be baiting some kind of sequel maybe? Not really sure I'd actually want that tbh. This series was all set to end here, but instead of giving us a status update on how everyone is doing, it ends with everyone gearing up to deal with Sato again. Meh, I can't really see the dude being as much of a threat now that everyone knows his game and the Japanese government no longer seems to be persecuting the Ajin anymore (which removes any reason they have left to fight). I guess its too much to ask that a manga adaptation gone anime original land the ending perfectly. MoistPerineum said: So did Satou lie about the beheading of a Ajin? | Whoa what an intense finale. The Multi IBM beatdown was awesome. Tho I'd preferred the strategic and planned defeat of Satou. Also wtf, even after getting beheaded, Satou is still the same person. Why? I love how Nagai acts all cool and collected but as soon he's cornered by Satou, he puts on that scared face every damn time haha But glad for Ajins. The war wasn't in vain after all. Also, I almost forgot. Was that bodyguard really a ghost as he said? I was kinda surprised there and seems everyone forgot that here lol Overall, despite this adapting an original route, I enjoyed this intense ride. Every episode till now proved to be a good thriller. Thanks to the amazing OST. The anime would've been dull w/o Satou. He remained badass till the very end. 8/10 |

| That was really great. Satou was such awesome antagonist. I also loved Izumi for some reason - she didn't have big role, but was somehow really cute. I just wish it ended slightly earlier. They didn't need to show us that cliffhander ending... unless they are planning for sequel. |
| loved the intense finale. Hopefully they can make a 3rd season when the manga gets some content in, I'll need to keep an eye on it to see if the things that happened here will remain anime original and if the manga route is too different. |

| Nice finale. Hope they continue into third season with that ending. It's a pleasure to watch. For a moment I was so worried that Sato would actually behead Izumi. Glad it didn't happen. |

| This finale was so intense. Nagai having those multiple IBM was so epic. He rekt Satou with that.The explosion at the end is interesting. Looks like Satou and Tanaka escaped. He just can't be stopped. I hope there's a third season. This season was awesome. It was very action packed. 8/10 |
