Seems to be the opposite according to the article. He was given someone else's daughter.

One of the alleged victims, now 18, told police she is the mother of two of the girls in the house and that the suspect, Lee Kaplan, fathered both, including the six-month-old, the complaint said.

According to an affidavit, the girl's father told an officer he gave his daughter to Kaplan after he helped the family out of financial ruin. The parents, who live in Lancaster County, are in custody, police said.

Not that that's any better.

This happened in my area actually. I think they might have been Amish or at least had some connection to that community.
The football field isn't the only place where you could use a good line.

Well, sort of. Apparently, they left the Amish and became born-again Christians, after which they alleged that church officials actively conspired against them, resulting in several questionable complaints from both sides and even a few lawsuits. According to them, the church's interference was the primary reason for their financial troubles.
