 The wraparound jacket on the seventh volume of the Tokyo Ghoul:re manga, which will go on sale on June 17, has announced a live-action film adaptation of the horror action franchise. Further information will be announced in future issues of Young Jump magazine.The Tokyo Ghoul series is created by Sui Ishida and began serialization in Young Jump in 2011. The original series ended in 2014, and it was continued as Tokyo Ghoul:re later that year. It has also spun off a number of side stories published as light novels and other manga series. The announcement also revealed that the series has collectively sold 18 million compiled volumes. Tokyo Ghoul was also adapted into two television anime series in 2014 and 2015. | oh no! please stop ruining Sensei's manga. The manga is a literal masterpiece but every adaptation of it seems to be a mess or just boring (the anime, stage play, ova). Ishida is busy enough, who even came up with this idea? they just want to get money out of it even if it means overworking Sensei even MORE. Merchandising is not so bad (trump cards, games, calendar, etc) so why not just re-print some of them if all they want is money? that way Ishida can rest and they get what they want. |

| Gotta wait until we get a trailer so I can judge it better. but as we all know, most Live-Action adaptations turn out to be cringy shit with unbelievably bad acting. Tho if TG gets a TV series by western people and if it was similar to "The Flash" in the production value/acting then it might actually be something worth watching P.S The only good Manga-to-LiveAction adaptation is Prison School |
