These faces are just awesome. Im amazed at the detail, even the ugly ones. Gotta hand it to tosh. But damn .. this seductive rindou will outshine everything with that level of hawtness :O
And i guess now i know where all those carbs from the festival tasting went :)) She packs quite the artillery, rivalling Erinas XD
Cant wait to see her "true form" while foodgasming over souma's golden gyoza :D

Seriously , we have a great view of what Eizan's scheming , but can't seem to understand by Soma. We also see his skills in cooking , that is so to say , they are top class :P !

Yes! That is how you do it, Souma! Taunt him by implying he's a coward. Someone as prideful as that is very easy to rile up. lol.

I love how calm Souma is throughout this whole thing, even when Eizan went and turned off his stove, he didn't lose his composure, just calmly glared at him.

Then when he goes to finish his gyoza, he just nonchalantly turns it back on, like it's nothing. (Granted, if you're stuffing it into a wing tip, it's not gyoza anymore, it's just a stuffed wing tip, but whatever, you do your thing Souma.) I'm curious to see what his dish's "final form" is, especially since he seems so confident even after tasting Eizan's dish. Although, personally, I think Eizan did a fantastic job. He incorporated leftovers from cooking the chicken into cooking the rest of the meal. That way everything gets infused with the chicken's flavor, and it really helps tie together every component into a cohesive and well executed dish.

All I can say is Souma better come up with something absolutely mind blowing if he hopes to even compete with that caliber of cooking, let alone beat it. (I bet it's going to incorporate one or more of the cooking techniques he learned while working under Shinomiya)

I'm glad every one agrees that Rindou is very hot, I already like her a lot and she hasn't even done anything relevant yet but I quite like how she has shown interest in Soma. She might be up to something, and given she was among the group supporting Azami I don't see her as one of the good guys but she can pretty well be an antiheroine after all. Anyway, what I like about her is her carefree attitude, she surely has to got some mad skills to be N°2 but unlike most of elite ten she has a very relaxed aura around her, so she's a good match for Soma in that regard.

So as for this chapter I can't believe how easy was for Soma to get along his way in making Eizan taste his dish and how an idiot Eizan is for falling for that. It's still uncertain in Soma can get a win but if he does win then Eizan would become a complete clown for losing a fixed shokugeki, like only a moron would manage to fail that bad.

Not going to happen for a long time. First, she has already eaten Souma's food, so he will have to improve far more than he has. Second, she knows she is a far better chef than he is.

Rindou is a boss: she trolled Kuga, and now she is trolling Eizan. She is using Souma to do Azami's job for him: getting rid of "weak" chefs.

If we think about it, the elite 8 don't need 8 members. They only need 5. Following Azami's philosophy, Kuga and Eizan are unnecessary, and indeed Eizan is an embarrassment. It is an insult that Eizan was made an elite 8 primarily because of his ability to raise money; it touches on what Azami said when he first appeared: the school lowered its standards to make money (entering into an agreement with the Curry Girls (through Eizan) as an example).

So I think the over the top drawing of Eizan will have a purpose. They are puffing him up because he is going down hard, and that was Azami's plan from the start. Rindou is the means.

At least I hope this is the way its going, it would be a great twist.

Good chapter and the judges' expressions were strectched beyond the limit :) problem is the battle is taking way too many chapters to resolve and Rindou is just there cause she can and possibly for Souma's foodgasm next chapter. If every cooking battle needs so many chapters like this one then the manga would have over 1000 chapters >.<

Like someone said in the above post, I agreed that a couple of the elite 10 will defect and join Souma (Rindou not one of them). Kuga and Eizan would do it in my book.
