| Well since we've got pretty much every other sports thread (i know someones gonna nitpick my wording on this) I'm making the NHL thread. Hockey is just an awesome sport in general Toronto Maple Leafs...sigh....well, i'm going to root for them, though my hopes are non existent. Would be different if they got the star pick for this year. Lost the game to the Canadiens as well as the Red Wings today. The team and the city have dysfunctional relationship, like a deadbeat husband and a nagging wife Edmonton Oilers, probably my bet for the cup as of now (placing 2000 non existent MAL dollars on this bet) Also, if anyone follows this, did anything happen with all that new teams talk? Was really curious for the new team propositions for Las Vegas and Quebec City |

Speaking of them, I still remember that line brawl from last year with the Flames right at the very puck drop. That was an insane game too, went into a shoot out. Shouldn't have happened, but still, that's one way to start the game pumping. |

| Damn! Still only one page for this entire NHL season? That's harsh... I've been keeping tabs with the NHL, NBA, and MLB randomly, so haven't been in tune with what the Pens are doing. Looks like they have a killer game on the offensive side though. Good to see Malkin back, so hopefully Fleury follows suit soon. If anything, I've been zoned into the Blues' efforts. That's been quite a close series, but they've certainly answered the call against the defending champs. Elliott doing what he needs to do and Tarasenko scorching the net with some of those shots of his. |

It wouldn't surprise me either. Kings started to make a comeback last game despite the score being 3-0 and they got it to 3-2. The Kings would be fighting for their playoffs lives so the game going to OT seems likely. |

| The FLA/NYI game was a good watch too. Way to rep that "C" on your jersey Tavares! Not to mention, had no idea Tavares' first NHL goal came against Fleury. Heck, even his first NHL playoff goal was against Fleury too. So yeah, you guys know which two teams I'll be rooting for to square off in the East Final! And STL better get this Game 7! Then again, it's the Blackhawks. Probably the one team nowadays you don't want to be putting away for a series, let alone a Game 7. |
