| Would be nice if this thing would stick to one or two genres for pity's sake. Is it a drama, is it a comedy, is it slice of life, is it harem ... yada yada?!?! Sillness abounds. Enjoyed the episode though. BakaWolf subs -- a great parody of the entire epi. 08 as well. Very amusing. |

| Yui doing the leekspin was easily my favorite thing from this episode. I'm glad to see this anime is failing as spectacularly as I predicted, but honestly, if all the episodes had been like this, it might not be so bad. The problem is, this episode has no business being in the rest of the series, so it really doesn't work out very well. I think for the entire first half of the episode, all I could think was "Higurashi did it better." |

| I was like WTF throughout the episode like Hirose was in the episode but I found it to be pretty funny too. XD The Magical Girl thing cracked me up. Hirose looked cool holding that sword. XD I liked how it ended how Otoha was able to go peacefully yet happy. I'm glad now that its all back to the storyline. I'm gonna keep on watching till the end! |

| It was easy to tell that she was Hinata, and that was the most important part of the episode. Otherwise this episode was purely pointless. It was sad when she left how ever. I really wanted to know whats happening with the calling Hotaru, Hotaru, like between her and her grandfather.. But I guess I have to watch the next episode for that. |

| If this was an OVA my current score for this anime wouldnt have dropped from 9 to 4. Absolutely horrible especially after all the build up from last episode, i was seriously thinking that this anime is seriously picking up and then it just fell right through the floor. |

| Before I start, I want to say that I don't consider myself that critical of anime. I have an awful lot of high ratings on my list, and I'm usually pretty easy to please. That being said, I really hate what I just watched. I was extremely disappointed by this episode. I was finally getting into this series for real, and then they destroyed the drama with some generic gag episode. As for the whole "Otaha showing him this world so she can know she can leave everything to him" ...that's a major cop-out. The producers wanted to make a gag episode and then try to feed us some bull to make it relevant. One of my biggest pet peeves is gag episode execution. I know there is a lot of love for this episode, but in my opinion this one was accomplished badly and didn't belong directly after a dramatic revelation. I wholeheartedly support this episode existing------as a special. Or if they didn't want to make it a special, then throw it at the end like a normal series when they want to produce an episode that doesn't fit into the series seamlessly (i.e. Suisei no Gargantia; yes the time frame is different, and it's not a gag episode, but it's a similar concept. I know I've seen gag ones done this way but they aren't coming to mind). I am strongly bothered by the half-assed explanation for the episode. It killed my enjoyment of the show, and I'm going to have to suspend my disbelief pretty hard for the remaining four episodes unless they can pull me back in somehow. |
