| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So they used OP song 2 instead of the first. Fine with me. The OVA highlighted the very popular Levi which I'm happy with. We see a bit of his story and the people he interacts with before joining the corps. Really loved the OST they used for some of the scenes in this OVA. Levi shows off some of skills not against Titans though. Seems like he is discovered by Erwin which is a chance of a life time with that deal. |

| They added some stuff like how Isabelle met Levi and co. and used the ending of chapter 1 as the episode end. Cool sakuga scenes too, especially the one with Levi fighting off Erwin & Sniffing guy. |

| It's so nice to see Farlan and Isabel animated. I've loved those two characters since they side-story manga was released. Plus it was great to see their friendship with Levi, and how they really are like a small little family that they've built together. The animation in this is beautiful too, just as expected from the trailers. :) |

| Ah, Levi. No end to his badassery... and cleaning mania. I really liked the first episode, reminded me what Attack on Titan was. The 3D Gear maneuvering was epic, and the Survey Corps were actually really intimidating against humans (since they're picked off easily by Titans). Isabel looks and behaves like she's Eren and Sasha's child. Since i don't remember her and Farlan in the main story, i can only hope that they won't just die, but... that seems unrealistic. 5/5 |

| Isabel and Farlan are from another story (not the main one) and it was short :^ Isabel looks and behaves like she's Eren and Sasha's child. :D Nailed it. Erwin looked at her somewhat surprised and amused. Awesome dog fight with the 3DMG. Goes to watch it subbed. |
| Ah, missed watching SnK for a while, and I'm glad it's back with my favorite character too! That 2nd OP song was fitting for this OVA. Right away, noticed they've added in some anime original scenes such as how Isabel met Levi and Farlan, which wasn't in the manga. Still. that was well done. Loved how Levi beat the sh!t out of that guy that touched him a little. One does not simply touch Levi with their filthy hand. XD That insert song was pretty good. I don't remember it from any of the OST albums though. Perhaps, it'll be in the next release? Hopefully. Survey Corps intercepting Levi's squad was amazing, especially the blade melee in the ground between Levi himself vs. Mike and Erwin. That moment when Levi got his face slammed into that mud water.. I wonder how he must've been feeling at that time. Good start, but I'm a bit worried about the 2nd OVA. How will they cover the remaining 7 chapters in one episode? O.o |

| good BGM, especially the tracks played at the beginning Animations were good, notably the 3D movement scenes of the people using the gear and the buildings animated in 3D. Art was good. OP and ED brought the nostalgia, with new animations for both of them. 4/5 |

| Great OVA, so good to see the 3DMG scenes again and Levi being kickass. Also nice to see Farlan and Isabel animated. |

| The scenes were amazing. The story was a little lacking in the sense that..why was the scouting legion down there? It might be explained in the next OVA tho. |

| That opening is so nostalgic They must have robbed some really drunk Military Police to get a hold on those 3D maneuver gears Then where do they get the fuel and swords to maintain them? Rob the military police that chase them? |

The only SnK OVA that was released in 720p was episode 1 of the main OVA series (Ilse's Diary), because it was also aired in HDTV format on a later date. The others however, are still in their native DVD release format up until now. What a waste of good animation. |

Though it does suffice, without hurting its appeal too much. 576p itself is a 480p upscale of sorts, so yeah, 720p would look damn epic with this animation, hopefully they'll have a HDTV release, and then we'll release the higher quality version with some fixes/German song lyrics/information card. | This was pretty much just Levi fan-service... Therefore I loved it :D nice 3DMG through the building and when he started fighting Mike with the kitchen knife was cool. I'm curious to see what their mission is and really hope Levi and Erwin face off in the second episode; it would be a battle of Gods. Oh and I also loved the Female Titan OST remix they had in there :DD |

| This was better than the original, but it's a shame that the underground time only lasted for this episode... I was hoping that they would do some story with that. |
