Oh the little feels this episode. I realize this is the finale but it didn't blow my mind away the way it was done. It was a good episode though. The young girl's memories were nostalgic. I thought the music captured the mood pretty well as this show wraps up.

Great episode. This 3-episode case was probably my favorite throughout the whole show and a good way to wrap things up.

So, Mugi-mama was the culprit? Those traps were set up pretty well though.

Noticed how they always show the criminal's side of the story too, and this makes me feel bad for both.
Though her reason to kill was strong, murdering people is going a little overboard..

Miyuki and Kindaichi should get together already. Well, I'm sure they eventually will.

Good episode to end the show. This is probably one of the most underrated series of this season. Hope we see more adaptations of Kindaichi's stories in future. 8/10.

I thought this was a good ending to this show. Even though Kozue's mom was the murderer, it's still kinda sad to see her pass away with her illness.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Sad that the series had to end.

I wish this has more episodes so they can cover more cases. Overall not a bad adaption at all although I wish the production value was a bit higher. The Hong Kong case was handled quite poorly but the subsequent ones were as good as I remember from the manga (as in they didn't leave out too many details).

Did she set up 3 traps for the blonde kid because she anticipated to fail twice? And that first game was iffy; someone could have let the mother through, or she could have ignored the message and left Kindaichi. One of the weaker cases, but the backstory was alright.

Really good final episode, I would say this EP adaption done better than original manga in this case. and Hajime-Miyuki relationship at the end is quite done well(atleast better than drama)

Even have something I might complain. but I want to thank Toei for remake my all time favorite manga and bring my nostogic. thanks authors for create manga I love most of my life. I will never forget it as long as I still alive.

And hopefully I will be able to watch sequel in future. especially Rosenkreuz case, I wanna see Tsukuyomi Giselle in anime vesion. no matter how long it take, I surely will wait.

YES GOOD. MAL rating finally sitting in the 7s.

This case my favourite! I like how it ended. Time to watch more of the old Kindaichi.

edit - ahaha got too caught up and forgot to write overall impressions of the show >_< I'm a sucker for mystery anime and this one was well done, but I still love Conan more simply because it has better characters and is more enticing overall because Kindaichi is completely episodic without even a main story overarching the series. Nevertheless, this was a good watch!

Good ending to a really great series!
I'm hoping they make more soon!

Now, if only someone would sub the rest of the original! Arrgh! I'm literally dying over here because Kindaichi has the potential to be one of my top 5 favorites seeing how it handles its murder cases and conclusions perfectly in my opinion.

Well, I saw the first 20 or so episodes of the original and loved every bit of it...

These kindaichi cases always give me ambivalent feelings. Makes you feel sorry for the murderer, but its not what they did was right either.

Hoping to see more of kindaichi in the future. 7/10

Yeah! Well, I'm glad SOMEONE is subbing it. I think there's one episode out per month. So irregular.. :|

On a side note, finally got the first OP 'Brand new story'. Due to copyright issue so hard to find that song

Really love how they always show the culprit's past and they never fail to make me feel sad for them... ;_;

Great way to end the series, though! :"D
Hope to see more of Kindaichi in the future!

A decent finale, I'm late to the game so I can jump right into the continuation.

Awww, that new couple really have a big heart
You can't find people like them in real life :P

That's a pretty good way to end 1st season
Though..
RIP 3 people that died for nothing.. kinda
The a rich mom that tried to live, a pampered kid that tried to celebrate if he had lived and a mom that tried to give her daughter easy life
They all didn't succeed :P

honestly at the start of this case it felt like the case wasn't so serious with miyuki and hajime fooling around, and oddly enough the woman staying behind but I guess that wasn't the case. Overally not the best case and the setup was somehow boring despite having an escape room type of ordeal. Best case this season would probably have to be the cram school one. Pretty fun season though

No only did that girl not know about the possibility of personal bankruptcy, she also did not need to take over her mother's heritage, which would have left her debt free from the start.
Maybe she was tricked somehow. But that is left to the imagination of the viewer. (Independent of that, she also got plundered later.)

Either sloppy background check, or a plot hole, like it often happens in Kindaichi and also Conan, which prevents both from being great detective series.

But I find these titles still entertaining.

The last had some nice stuff going for it, killing for property is also a classic reason. Miyuki confessing at the end too, nice. This brings us to the end of the season. Only one more season and a TV special for me to wrap the anime adaptation of this franchise. Well, I found around 8 episodes of live action, going to get into that once I finish the anime.
