ATLANTA -- NBA TV will televise live 19 FIBA Basketball World Cup games in Spain. The group-play part of the international tournament begins Saturday, Aug. 30. The single-elimination part of the tournament begins Sept. 6 and ends with the championship game on Sept. 14.

The 2014 FIBA World Cup for basketball is slated to start on Saturday, August 30.

The group phase is similar to the soccer World Cup, where teams play every team in their group once. The group phase runs through September 4.

Each group has six teams–the top four advance to the knockout phase, which begins on September 6 and will run through September 14, when the final game will be played.

The United States and Spain are early favorites for the title game, but a number of other teams are serious contenders, including Brazil, Argentina, and Lithuania.

Was that a game face, or a "what the fuck am I watching" face? I can't really tell. Maybe there's not much of a difference lol..

It's too make all these 2nd Ranked "All-Stars" better. Although I believe Curry, Davis and Faried will gain the most from this. James Harden just plays like 25% more def than the NBA. 15% + 25% IS STILL ONLY 40% DEF.

Was there ever any doubt? Seriously, take away Kyrie's points and they still would have comfortably won. This competition is quickly getting old.

It is proven throughout history that the"greats" eventually fall to their demise. The great US basketball team will eventually be toppled down; it is only a matter of time.

Man, what a bold statement. You mean.. EVENTUALLY... the US might not win the FIBA championship?

Eventually the United States will cease to exist.

Eventually I'll die.

Eventually.
