| I havent dropped my rating (yet?), but I do understand where people are comming from: Im also not a fan of the new arc. Dont get me wrong, its nice that the world is being portrayed realisticly, that its not just humans vs titans but that there are "bad" people no matter the circumstances, that there is more to the titan church than "lets worship titans because theyre big lol", etc.... the thing is that its executed kind of boring. Readers were promised attack on titans, not sneaking up on gpoverment officials. The way the manga is taking now is in stark contrast to the forst part of the series. The story as a whole is still nice, but monthly releases combined with the political plot kil this manga atm. The newly introduced throwaway characters dont help. Does anyone remember Erens dad? |
| It doesn't matter what rating it has on MAL. Japan loves Shingeki and that's pretty much what matters the most. The rating here won't affect Shingeki sales. So bring it down as much as you want. :D |

Find it amusing, since for me the score went up because of the lack of titans. I've been enjoying this arc far more than anything else up to this point. It's made me think that this manga would have been very good without the 'titan gimmick.' The author can actually write a good political drama. Reminds me of the early days of Berserk and the Golden Age Arc. |

The author has shown us this with the latest chapter. I still think he used titans as a way to attract readers with something that was somewhat original. I don't think his manga would have gotten so popular without the titans, even though it's probably better or just as good without it. So that's why I said it's a gimmick though it's obviously not since the whole series ultimately revolves around solving the titan problem. |

| I think it was pretty clear with how many times we saw the corruption of the higher ups within the walls, for example the scene where Pixis is playing chess with the noble, that there would be conflict within the story not just related to titans. If you thought the way it was done was boring, that's fine, but if it's boring just because it was done, I think you were missing the signs. |

| I still enjoy the manga a lot, sure the titan mystery previously was good to read and the search for the culprit was intriguing. But focusing on the human side of things doesn't necessarily mean the titans are out of the picture for good :D I'm sure we will see them soon :) |

| For me it's nothing to do with the lack of titans. Titan battles are overrated anyway, this series has other strengths. I've never had the rating as high as 9 admittedly, but I do feel the quality of the series has dropped for a while now. It's not at all bad, but not up to the pretty decent standards it set for itself. I'm hoping it's more of a calm before the storm kinda thing going on. Every series has a lull at some point. |
