I've never teared up or anything but there are times when I feel sad for the character (I know it's not real and it doesn't actually affect me in any way, but I do get that feeling when a scene is made well)

I don't seem to cry during animes that are supposed to be tear-jerkers but cry in very, very uncalled for points such as the death of the main villain.

Yes, although not in the sense that I'll be bawling my eyes out and screaming for the next 7 days about it. I rarely cry when watching anime, but it has happened. :L

It impacts me on the inside, though. Oh the nights I have spent just... thinking...

I'm heartless and soulless. I don't feel empathy for any of these fictional Wapanese characters.

No, in fact, I cried for 20 minutes at the end of School Days, I think that's the opposite of emotional.

I never really cry, but I do become melancholy and do some deep thinking sometimes depending on the anime. I tend to pick up the subtle things or messages that no one cares about. OSTs have a pretty significant affect on my feelings as well.

Guilty Crown, Sekirei, Sora no Otoshimono, Naruto, and Dragonaut just to name a few.

I try to cope with the feels by picking up the manga or LN the anime is adapted from (if it has one).

Spending time on manga, anime, or LNs is really the only time I really get emotional, an escape if you will. Otherwise, I just obsess with things and do stuff that anyone else would do.

Hey, so JeffreyZin, I'm right there with you. I don't know if you've seen Deathnote, and since this question is a tough one for all of us out here to answer w/o putting spoilers all over the forum post, there was definitely a scene that left me so heartbroken, I felt like I'd just lost a friend. I was upset for like a week. Don't sweat it, it just means you have a heart!

Sometimes. Also not sure if it counts, but when I finish watching a really bad anime, I feel so damn happy that I start crying.

Examples: NGNL
Mirai Nikki

Well thank you.

I also get more like Emotional Breakdown sometimes. So many dramas & spams that doesn't make sense that I've been made throughout MAL forums even other anime community. That's quite common sometimes for me.

Duh,

not only that. Imagine when a villain kills off/rape someone right before main character's eyes, I psychically gone apeshit.

Also, do you realize that I also get upset when the character's attitude, plots & writing in every anime were just.... plain stupid?

Highschool of dead, Samurai Flamenco, Kakumeiki Valvrave, Madoka Magica & Fate Stay Night?

I've never cried while watching an anime, actually, the only time I've shed real tears while watching/reading any media, was in Treasure Planet, in the flashback when Jim's dad leaves. :'(

Back on topic, I have gotten emotional almost to the point of tears while watching anime on a few occasions.

Several times during FMA:B, obviously the end of Cowboy Bebop, and admittedly one scene in The Garden of Words. These are naming some off the top of my head.

Definitely. There's no difference between getting emotional while watching anime, and getting emotional while watching Hollywood films.

There's hype, tears, chest pains, and sometimes pseudo-depression.

I laugh sometimes when characters die. That's about all the emotion I show.

I did cry a little at the end of Shinsekai Yori, but I was drunk so I was a bit emotionally unstable.

Just like your Pikachu signature?

OT: Latest anime to make me have any feels was White Album 2 and maybe Golden Time, though the former was definitely much more heart breaking.

Sometimes, just sometimes, they pull at my manly heart strings. Totally not emphasizing that at all.

I could, on rare occasions, tear up a bit, but I usually just tend to feel a bit depressed whenever something heart breaking occurs.

Okay, I'll admit that I empathize with a lotta things, but tearing up a bit is probably the most I've ever done.

Sometimes. Even at those times I never seem to veer towards extremes of emotions. I get sad if a character dies and I may even cry but I never get depressed for more than the length of the anime, if that. I smirk and snicker and sometimes even double over laughing. I think the strongest response I've had to an anime emotionally is the need to have a antagonist get his comeuppance so bad I am literally crossing my fingers for an awesome deus ex machina, even if makes no sense (SAO Arc 2).

You know what, Anime is a serious issue to me.

It's just that it totally blews me away & over react whatever I want even though when it's interesting stuff happens. Others were just calm like shit.

If watching something stirred no emotional reaction whatsoever from me, I don't think I'd be watching it in the first place.
