I guess not many people have not seen this excellent series. But, anyway some of my finest memories of the Banner of Stars series are in Seikai no Senki II. Simply because this is when Lafiel and Jinto's relationship is finally put to the test. My only problem with the first few episodes, is that Lafiel is not as much the focus as she was in the first two series. But, I guess that's to be expected when the captain wouldn't be on Lobnas II.

Rewatching all of the Seikai series. I had forgotten how much more bleak Seika no Senki II is in comparison to its predecessors. And yet that makes it all much more rewarding at the end.

Now if only I could understand what there were saying in that first part, but it’ll probably come back again in the last episode.

The start was somewhat puzzling, but they'll probably explain how it happened later on.

Oh dear, that was a grim start. I see that Beabus is still as eccentric as ever as is Admiral Abriel. Is that Lafiel's grandfather?

Great first episode, probably the best of the three series. The start-by-the-end plot device, top notch directing, production values better than ever, new characters introduced like Trife or Lafiel's brother, all made this episode intriguing and balanced. A faultless start.

. . . Not sure I like this whole "setting up for a tragedy" bit . . . Would be really surprised if that really is the ending, although I guess it could kind of fit.

Whoa, when the episode ended all I could think was how ominous of a beginning it was.

We'll probably reach that point at some later episode, but whether it's truly the end is anyone's guess.

I don't have much else to say. Solid start.

Wow the end is sad, when it is linked with that sad sad song. Hope Jinto won't die, cuz there's still the OVA and the novel is not finished so maybe he won't die yet.

Jinto is gonna die! (not) No way they'll kill him off.

Jinto looks pretty messed up there at the start, like he was dehydrated and starved for days. Is that what happened?

Trife returns as well. He only appeared at the end of CotS and I don't remember him appearing at all in BoTS. Lafiel also has a brother, surprisingly. I guess that detail wasn't brought up earlier because no one asked.
