According to the Emmy Award official website, Ikeda Shigemi won the Juried award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for the art directions of Afro Samurai: Resurrection. Ikeda Shigemi is the president of Atelier MUSA and worked on numbers of anime such as Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, InuYasha, Planetes etc.

Afro Samurao Resurrection is also nominated for Creative Arts Emmy Awards and Outstanding Animated Program for programming one hour or more. The winners of the two will be announced on September 12th.

Ikeda Shigemi is he. I guess I miss a lot more. F91, 08 Team, Unicorn.... too many.

For a moment there I thought Afro Samurai: Res. one an award. lol

But apart from the generic looking Gonzo shows, there are some pretty good ones on the list. Kudos ^_^
