I hope people stop treating ANN's news as if they did their own investigation and confirmed news by its own independent source (except for the occasional leaks of magazines several days before its release date, which I doubt very much the publishers would be happy to know about). They only repeated what other Japanese sources said and unfortunately sometimes did not even do their own due diligence which caused them to report false news. One such recent example is their report of Doki Doki PreCure ending in December when ANN claimed that the producer announced it on a PreCure newsletter. The fact is the "announcement" was in the introductory text so it was never a part of what the producer said. And I am sure ANN did not check the reactions of Japanese fans in forums and blogs because if they had read it they should have known that almost no fans in Japan believed it is the case and suspected misprint instead. Yet ANN chose to report it as "news". Sure enough several hours later the publisher of the PreCure newsletter (Nikkan Sports) published an apology for its misprint. I also got "tips" about PreCure ending in December by some MAL users, but I told them to be cautious and also told them the reactions of fans in Japan. So I never made it as news here and at the end I was proven right. For Sora no Otoshimono, the problem is the pic of the source was removed very soon after being posted, although not fast enough for someone to make a copy and circulate it around, which is how sites like Yaraon got the pic. Now the magazine Shounen Ace, which is most likely where the pic came from (assuming it was not a hoax), will come out on the 26th, with some bookstores starting to sell it on the 25th. If it is indeed corroborated and confirmed, I will surely start a new thread in this News Board. jinxidol said: That is not quite right.
