Here are important site problems you need to be aware of on MAL which we have no control over but can help you avoid or correct. Fixes are in bold and green! If you need to report a layout problem or have a question about how to fix your layout, use the question topic or report/ask on the front page.
Layouts with Dropbox imports having problems (September 2014)
During the late summer MAL hacking, something started to crash various Dropbox links. Because of this, certain cover imports and CSS imports are not currently available, and this can result in various problems for certain users:
* covers no longer appearing
* custom topbars missing
* hovering mini-reviews (tags) not showing
* misaligned tables
* some layouts broken
You can find the fixes below if you need them:
Fixes for covers
To get your list's covers back, you have two options.
If you can't find your cover import here, check the cover installing topics (Cover Styles), they're all updated, and have new import lines and codes you can replace the old ones with: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1162203
2. Otherwise the other (better) option is to use our cover generators to generate them yourself, this way they will never go away and load faster and cover 100% of your anime/manga: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1162203
Try Blink, Genku, or Fellow Writer links.
Fix hovering tags (mini-reviews) and remove non-functional #more button
also replace missing "CSS for foxgirls" import
Just go to this link: http://tny.cz/464a7a3d
and copy the entire CSS there and paste it to the bottom of your list CSS. It should fix the hovering tags back to the way they were. You can remove the "CSSforFoxgirls" import line from the top of your CSS if you wish now. Step 2 in the original topic also contains this fix.
btw your #more button was probably not working before the covers went down - it doesn't work with many cover setups. Thats why this code is often added in with cover CSS through the CSSforFoxgirls import.
If you're using one from 2014, there are two kinds of Pyscho Pass layouts- either you use tags or you didn't. Go to the page linked next to the type you have below. Copy all the codes on that page and add them to the bottom of your CSS and save.
It will fix most of your layout back except restoring the top bar, which is covered down the page.
Fix for Mahou Magica style layout
Simply add these lines below to the top of your CSS. It will fix the top bar and list's style back. Don't copy the CSS from their links and add that to your CSS bottom. Copy the lines below and paste them to the top.
The fix is for this Magica layout seen above. You might have a different wallpaper. Errors on the left (fix in spoiler above).
Fix for Poster-style layout
Copy the entire CSS from this page into your CSS editor here on MAL. It should fix the poster style layout back. This layout also normally uses the icon style top bar below and the covers fix from above too, you can add them as well. http://tny.cz/b2e352df
This layout I made in the visual example above. The fix is in the spoiler above.
Finally many of the layout links in the gallery topic below are dead now, but I plan to replace them in the future. You'll have to wait till then to be able to get the codes or find someone else with them to share it with you. http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=318587
These topic link lines should always be deleted from the bottom of your pasted CSS before making further customization to your layout, since they interrupt codes underneath them.
You can also prevent these lines from coming up at all if you use Adblock, click the link below Fanboy's annoyance list: https://www.fanboy.co.nz/
