Especially when referring to preserving endangered species, people only care about the cute, furry ones. If a huge bug extinction was to happen, I believe many people would not even care one bit. Honestly, I would get rid of them because I care very little for most bugs. If I had a huge bug infestation, I would probably call an exterminator or something (and whether they kill them or actually preserve the bed bugs is up to them). But I think your question is more of whether or not I would kill them. And the answer would be yes, which is the point I'm getting to. Of course I cannot speak for everyone and I know not everyone would do the same exact thing as me, but I do believe the majority of people would not hesitate to kill a bug if it interferes with their daily lives, even if they were near extinction. |
