Yeah, we can only hope for another season. Well, at least we still have the manga to follow.

Let's get back on-track to talk about the episode. Generally a nice epi to end off this season. Don't wanna spoil too much for those who haven't watch the epi.

holy crap! was that the earls' human form? and finally they show road's father in this episode..

that lvl 4 fight scene was extremely short..cross pumping him up with steroidal bullets was the funniest shit ever..the akuma reminds me of ghostbusters..lol!

i think the order was disbanded after the fight, but i think they should make another anime adaptation after 103..havent read the manga yet but hoping for another season (crossing fingers)!

hey lenalee's hair grew a little!

i love that scene when tim flashes his teeth after cross takes off..epicness!!

It was okay, I guess. I'm hoping they'll make another addition to this series in 2009, or whenever the manga speeds up a bit.

1. The ratings are not good enough for the series to continue; or
2. They don't want to catch up with the manga so soon.

Nope I don't quite think so.

For some reason I think they will be skipping the next filler arc. Which could be a good thing.

Anyway, so many changes in the anime from the manga that I find it a little hard to figure out the plot.

This show has been one of the best parts of my life over the past two years, such a shame to see it go. Now all that's left is to wait for the third soundtrack that's being released with the 11th second stage DVD.

"FIN"?

Face it. We got Inuyasha-oed.

The most we can hope is some OVA's, but with "FIN" being written at the end, I would doubt we will even get them.

I think people are looking way to much into the Fin business. I mean just because it appeared at the end of episode 103 doesn't mean we won't see another series in the future.

Three facts:
1. Shonen series NEVER do the breaks longer than two weeks. Its suicide as viewers mostly "forget" what the show was about. None of the shonen shows being at similar timeslots came back after "ending the broadcast".
2. Ratings are not that good. Going on the break would deliver a huge blow to the ratings when show comes back, so tv stations would not wish to blow up their own economies by bringing such show back on air.
3. None of the shows, who changed seasons would get FIN written in the end. NONE. FIN mostly means complete stop and is one of the more "hardcore" ways of implying its THE END.

production studio had no choice. Either they go on into filler season and ratings go on dropping yet again, till the show gets canceled OR they end the broadcast, which would be the same as getting canceled, except that they end the story with manga plot. Add up TV station pushing the bleach in D.gray-man timeslot and you have got a limited time/number of episodes to conclude the story.

Same happened with Inuyasha years ago. And now, even with the manga ended, production studio shows no signs on wanting to "go on air again"

Future looks REALLY bad for D.gray-man. I am wishing for some sort of OVA adaptation of next arcs, but even that is at quite small possibility...

Reading your three facts, they make me believe you want this show to end completely..

We can all believe what we want, and i believe that this show shall return in the future. They stopped down because of how close they are to catching up with the manga, that makes sense though if you ask me it looks as if they didn't want to end. That will is strong enough for them to carry on at a later date.

So it comes to an end. We won't be seeing this series around for a while. I do hope they will somehow resume this series in the future, because it just started to get interesting. It's also quite possible this is the last we'll see of the animated series of D.Gray-man.

*crosses fingers and hopes for a continuation*

Believe, me I DO NOT want this show to end, since its the only shonen genre tv show which is actually WORTH something. I am actually FURIOUS on how it all turned out.

But I am being a realist here, good shows does not matter to the majority of viewers - they want shiny KABOOOM's, ecchi scenes every 2 seconds and let's not forget the stupid plot. The very fact that D.gray-man timeslot was given to bleach(which, s well as half dozen of other shows could disappear for all I care) shows that.

Instead of watching a story about one man's "walk" through the dark history in the world where everyone can be enemy and his battle against his own darkness and the dark fat figure embodying everything that is dark, viewers would better watch a carbon-based dbz copy where orange haired Japanese boy(who is quite good looking) is fighting against dozens of shirtless evil bishonen, while saving girls whose boobs defy gravity and laws of physics themselves.

Thats the sad little truth of TV.

And will has no powers against the economic structure and the jungle, that is TV. Same happens in USA. Hell, one of more interesting tv shows, The 4400 was canceled due to the similar bullshit. And writers had a lot of resolve and will to continue. After no one accepted that they are continuing the show with books.

its the dark dark world, where tv companies favor mindless fanservice instead of something good. It happens in entire world almost every second. Ideas getting scrapped for something "more acceptable by mainstream". And d.gray-man was placed in situation where production team just did not have from what to chose. I am hoping for OVAs tho...

Well, good/fine episode, but it isn't an end...

This makes me wanna read the manga.

It's too early to give this show up, but they aren't gonna continue it in a million years :-/ Hoping for a short OVA or something...

TO ANYONE: I would really appriciate it if someone would tell me where to start with the manga, meaning that it starts at the ending of this show.

Why didn't we get a "sank you for watching this ridiculous low viewed serie" ?

Well, good luck to ya all, and please msg me with the info about the manga.

I am glad they ended it here, if they had continued on and done more filler crap like you see in Bleach it would have just dragged the series through the mud and tarnished the bright spots it had. At least now it can always be picked up again at some future date and hopefully finished with nothing less that 100% canon manga content.

This show was too original to be marketable for mainstream viewers.

Considering it was implied that there's 13 noahs (+ 14th), we haven't seen all of them. Possibly it was one of those we never have seen.

Dont think we'll see a second season for D.Gray-man, considering how it kind of felt like a proper ending, not like a ending of a story type of thing but more like a ending that drew people into the series. So am guessing this was a way to make people buy the manga and carry on the story.

The illegal market outside of Japan does NOT matter in any way. You can go on blowing up planes if you want, but they won't care about it. We aren't "supposed" to watch it anyway :)

they really gave no indication that there will be an S2. but that doesnt mean they wont make one either. its kinda like how trinity blood ended....its like

the battle still rages on...THE END! ultimately its another way of saying...you'll get an S2 or you wont, depends on which way the sun is shining. clearly there is a lot wide gaps at the end, the biggest of them being that they might be part of an experiment...hehe

in a way going by what the earl and his kids said, the exorcists arent so different than akumas in that they get stronger the more akuma's they defeat, or when the nead to defeat a stronger one comes, and akumas get stronger by killing humans... it sa matter of who gets the strongest first. sounds to me like a setup.

i bet road is still in love with allen wooooo!

I have to agree here; it's so disappointing to see such a great anime have such a horrible ending. In fact, the ending lowered my overall score for the show significantly. But, none the less it was a wonderful show, it just needed a proper definitive ending.
In the End, was it worth it?

ok, those scene, those "FIN" make me think: this is the very end of the anime; knowing that it will be replaced by Bleach makes me say: they could've go on with Allen&Co... Having the manga (much better!) makes me smile anyway, no big deal if the show really came to an end. For now just "thanks D. Gray Man!"

I sure hope that theres going to be a S2. the ending kinda left it open... more than open actually, they took the whole wall out. Theres still too much that needs to be answered and things that still need to happen.
Wasn't my favorite episode of all time but Crystal Innocence is interesting, sucks that it ended after we find out about it, I'll have to catch up to the manga sooner or later, just gotta find some free time.

Sorry, but you're slightly off. "Fin" is not short for "finished," but rather a foreign word with the same root. You see, fin is derived from the Latin "finis," and means "end" in both Spanish and French. The latter is particularly important because French words are used as literary terms.
The word "finish" is simply an English derivative of that same Latin term.

With that in mind, I kind of have to hold with those that think this really is the end. I don't want it to be, but they put in much more closure than I'd have expected if they were really planning for a new season. If it starts up again, I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I wouldn't count on it.
