I can't believe that Asuha was actually his daughter who he had at 13.
Now i'm just wondering who the mother is and where she is.
It must be really awkward for Astarotte.

I wonder if he is actually the biological father of Asuha or if he kind of took her in. If he is the biological father then he is one player.

Since this is a loli anime it wouldn`t suprise me if the mother is older then Naoya :P

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Naoya's own mom who is the mother of Asuha.

Asuha is becoming my favorite so far, she can be strong willed, the voice of reason, and have all traits that I like in a loli and the kiss at the end pretty much makes her more than likeable. This series didn't require yuri, but heck it just made this series much better and Astarotte just loves it. Asuha=best loli of the season, this series=one of the best of 2011.

If the mother of Asuha is confirmed to be Naoya's own mother I will give this series a 10 in a heartbeat not to mention adding her in the list of playful and dirty mothers.

There are a lot of non-ecchi variants. Need to check manga or LN. But Asuha is my favorite here

I think so as well tho judging by Asuha's behavior i would not be surprised if her mother is the same age as Naoya.
Still having a child at the age of 13 is surprising.
This is why you should always wear protection when your having sexual intercourse.

Asuha seems like a nice character and makes friends very easily tho it was funny to see that her friends didn't know she was Human.

Now I'm really curious. What's the story behind Naoya's past that lead the Asuha's birth? Only 13 years old and he already has a kid. One things for sure the mother probably left him with Asuha and she ran out or she might have died. Though the first one seems more realistic.

if it wasn't for his tie I'd say he was 12 years old? its not like he gave birth to a child at 13... though its pretty young in now-days

I could not believe it when they said Asuha was Naoya's daughter. How shocking. And their image of that "human" made me crackle up. Looked more like a youkai to me. Asuha is so kawaii <3

What a heartwarming show to watch on Easter Sunday. I was actually looking forward to a rant on how this is inappropriate to be shown on the holiest day of the year. However, I must say that this show went in a completely different way from what I expected and it is not something that will send you to the firey pits of Hell.

I like how there is hardly any smut this season and the sinners don't have anything to get their sick kicks off on.

Gotta say, I actually thought it was a mistranslation when she said "daughter". My theory is shota rape.

I don't get how this show can get such a low rating. I think this is one of the best shows of the season. Its world is beautiful, the characters are likeable (Lotte isn't your generic tsundere either) and the story is heartwarming. Sure, the setting is a little weird, but if you can overlook that, the show is more than enjoyable. For me, that is.

I haven't read the manga, so this is just an assumption. Naoya probably somehow ended up in this world when he was thirteen, or the mother of Lotte somehow ended up in the human world. And they somehow had a baby, Asuha, together. Meaning, Asuha is Lotte's half-sister.

Since I already spoiled myself, I know who Asuha's mom is and how Naoya and her did the dirty. Needless to say I'm interested in how the anime is going to reveal this in intimate detail.

Plus to those thinking that Naoya's own mother is the mother of Asuha, that is too good and hot for regular anime. You need an OVA for that stuff.

Oi, this wasn't what I expected from this show. I thought this will gonna be a generic ecchi harem that I could imagine but this is different. Stupid description has mislead me but I'm actually grateful with this surprise. I'm so glad I picked up this series... So very heartwarming, oozing with morals and the atmosphere is nice too. I hope it will remain this way.

I guess Naoya won't become a love material for Tarotte since I see him more like a father than a part of a harem. He treated both Asuha and Tarotte the same.

Yeah I have the same theory about Asuha's mom is actually Tarotte's mother:
1. They mentioned she had a human before.
2. When Naoya met Tarotte for the first time, he recalls someone with long blonde hair. She seemed more mature than Tarotte's body.
3. Naoya is fairly too innocent and nice to be a player so the mother is the rapist given that she got a huge harem.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .anime . manga . updates . ♫♪ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

First episode so far that I actually managed to enjoy, despite that, I expected a better series... something different... But well, I'm not saying it's bad, but the first two episode, the start was a bit weak IMO, so hoping that it'll be on at least this standard like ep3.

Now that I think about it, I just remembered reading about that a month ago, as for a person's own mother being a parent to their child yeah you need an OVA for that.

Someone already spoiled it for me that Asuha is Naoya's daughter, so I wasn't that surprised by the twist. Nonetheless, I still think it's unimaginable. *shudders*

Other than that, not as good as the previous one. This episode felt surprisingly kiddy compared to the more serious episode 2.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

I really, really loved this episode. Everything was done perfectly for this type of show. The characters are cute and hilarious, the expressions / animation is great.

I love Asuha, I think the voice actor suits the character very well. Many funny and cute scenes this episode, I laughed a lot when Asuha ran around the corner to see her 'father', I especially liked how she reacted :P

So far this anime has gone far past my hopes and expectations, I just hope it can keep it up. I also hope that it eventually gets licensed for sale, because this is a series I'd really like to own.

I knew Asuha was he's daughter.. just never knew he was 23...
(was thinking he happens to be 25 or so, that just happens to look younger then what he really is..)
is it me, or Naoya looks young, too young.. hmmm
anyways according to all the spoilers around, I kinda know who the mother is (evil spoilers, tempt me to click... ; - ; )
well, this episode was good, was laughing hard when they showed the image of what they thought a human was..
then the Llama appears (I think that's a llama...) xDD perfect description of what they thought LOL

this would also explain why she was able to open the gate. that other chick couldn't get why the gate opened.....they briefly alluded to it but didn't actually show it.

also in the manga, the world is based on Norse mythology so the age discrepancy might very well be due to the fact that time flows differently.
