Quick help plox

Hey guys, I'm currently in desperate need of an anime where the mc is depressed throughout the entire anime, I don't want the mc to be forced into/join a club, to randomly have a random girl fall in love with him, I want something like welcome to the nhk. I know there's an anime about a suicidal teacher out there, but I personally do not like the art style, I may delve into it sometime but for now I'd prefer something else.

Age doesn't matter, I'd prefer no comedy, more of a depressing tone, kinda like welcome to the nhk. Although serial experiments lain sounds interesting, I may look into that. I guess to be more specific, what I'm looking for is essentially a welcome to the nhk clone, if none exists then would there be any manga you may know about?

Actual TV Series but the OVA is about the MC hardships growing up.
