| Give Shiki til past episode 10, it's slow at the start, but the end is worth it. And it gets very gory. |

| Yes, Shiki is great, but make sure to watch the specials. Also Berserk, it's not a horror but gets very gory by the end (especially the third film, but I'd recommend watching tv series first). I know you asked specifically for horrors but when I think about most effective gore it's always Berserk that pops into my head. |

| If all you want to see is flying body parts and red paint then watch Corpse Party. It has detail in the gore and sometimes makes you feel the pain. |
