What games do you really really regret paying for?

I bought Skyrim at full price for a console.

PS2 : Terminator 3 ( 70 euros), finished it the second day.
XBox360:1. Mortal Kombat ( 60 euros), got bored of it in less than one week.
2.Aliens Colonial Marines (60 euros), finished it just once until now, boring.
I should probably regret all the FIFA games I bought over the years which I seriously doubt I will ever play again.

My trade for a Binding of Isaac. Even though I traded for mere TF2 items, I could've kept them for a more worthy indie than one game which is basically a harder and a random Legend of Zelda that is not family friendly at all, needs more than a single core and an integrated graphics chipset for modest 2D graphics, lacks a quit and save button, ergh too many things that make me turn it down. That's pretty much it.

What a disappointment that was. I blame EA after it acquired Pandemic. The first game was so much better. The game was pretty, but it had virtually no substance and was buggy as hell for me.

I remember at one point I clipped through a mountain and fell off the world. Another was I used the chopper to pick up a crate during the easy-money stacking game at the base and I couldn't drop it afterwards. So I flew around hitting stuff with it....like a wrecking ballllllll~

Other notable mentions for me:

BF4. Gave it to my roommate after playing for 2 hours.

CoD Ghosts. I usually at least marathon the campaign, but I stopped about 1/4 of the way through and haven't picked it back up since. I told myself not to buy it, but I did anyway. Now it just sits on my desk.

X-Blades...looked like fun. Turned out to be anything but. I've since made it a point to avoid anything with Gaijin's label on it.

Also Sonic Jump on Android. I've bought it off a Christmas sale for a mere dollar using free promotional Amazon Appstore credit (5$ total). Around a month later, it debuted as "Free App of the Day". The game is lovely and better than Sonic Dash but this 1$ could've helped me elsewhere had I known Sonic Jump wouldn't take so long to be FAOTD.

Destiny Links, everything but the music reeked of mediocrity.

Armored Core Nexus, virtually everything was wrong with the mechanics of that game.

Front Mission Evolved, too easy, too westernized, and too short, overall shit, no wonder it killed the franchise, I'd much rather had an epic and full FM 2089 II on handhelds than this abomination.

Rhapsody, the game was far too easy, I ended up beating it in 7 hours. It's a shame since the 3 other games in the Marl Kingdom series which are Japan only have standard RPG difficulties and are far more enjoyable in story and gameplay.

Anything that I seriously regretted buying was returned shortly thereafter.

There are, however, things I regret selling with all of my body and all of my mind.

Why did I sell my CIB Ice Blue N64?
I don't believe I got more than $45 for it. It hurts to think about.

Certain Champions/Skins in League of Legends, when I played. Once I found out my general indifference to MOBAs, the wasted money caused me a bit of regret since I could have given that money to charity or done something more substantial with it.

Toki to Towa needed a price drop in every region, it wasn't worth $60-70 even with a big anime studio working on it.

I've played quite a few in my childhood, mostly Armored Core, Gundam, and Front Mission but also Mechwarrior and Gungriffon Blaze as well.

Pretty much the same story from me. Spent a lot of time on some of the more recent AC titles (4 and on) and DWG (100% on both DWG and DWG3), but my roots are in titles like Gungriffon (Saturn) and 0079 Side Story (DC).

Before that I was primarily into military flight sims and RTS (Janes '97 and Red Alert). Even earlier, point-and-click or other DOS titles (vividly remember an infatuation with DOS ports of Graity Wars and Asteroids).

The remake of Rise from the Ashes looks great and I can't wait to play it again along with the other side stories. You should play some of the classic Armored Core games if you can.

Oh, that's an excellent point. I refuse to shelve them, might as well be annual sports titles.

Not long after purchasing 4, I wrote the series off as a lost cause and erased them from my memory. Was gifted 5 the next year (heh).

In the next few weeks I'll chip a PS1 and give it a go. Just remembered I also own and have a few hours on AC2 (mostly in a dogged attempt to grasp the controls). Are the other PS2 titles worthwhile? (AC2 wasn't bad, it was just a lot like learning to play Gunvalkyrie)

white knight chronicles 2 packaged with the first game, featuring a combined 2/3rd of what a single game should be, with plot points stolen from the worst parts of FF8, hobos off the street as voice actors, graphics from the ps2, large sprawling areas with literally nothing in them, the battle system from FF12 minus any of the progression, and the same 6 enemies reskined for the entirety of both games

its hands down the worst rpg ive ever had the misfortune of playing and possibly one of the worst games in general, its fucking terrible

Lots, but I'll highlight some.

The Sims 3 for Wii - I don't know what I was thinking. It was slow, buggy and not great. It made my console make a lot of noises and I wasted hours on it.

Pokémon Rumble Blast for 3DS - It was addictive, but crappy. It wasn't the most amazing spin-off ever and I think it was expensive because of the Pokémon name.

Fragile Dreams: Farewell fragments of the Moon for Wii - The combat system was pretty lousy and I couldn't continue to play because it creeped me out.

yeah the rest i wont argue with yah about, cause as much i love the game it does kind of do that, though xenoblades openess gets a pass from me cause it had some creative landscapes and designs as well as having mult layered levels of different altitudes, WKC is literally the most bland areas in the wold such as desert 1, desert 2 with oasis in middle, forest, rocky path, another fucking desert, a desert ca- you know now that i think about it that game was like 80% desert

seriously if you ever want to punish yourself pick it up, theres 1 section of hilarious content if you make it to the end where its plot twist after plot twist and its all so terrible, it has easily the funniest betrayal in any story ever, and that doesnt even cover the hilarious reveal about what the knights are made of or any of the cutscenes in the final moments

Always assume the simplest problem and work up.

Modern PC card edge slots don't fail in any measurable amount. Reseat the card in question several times if you have to and figure out just the right amount of pressure and speed to do it at for a solid connection. Make sure your card is recieving external power from the PSU, if applicable, and make sure you are using the correct connectors (6pin or 8pin, in that case).

After retinking though, even if I did get it to work with my prebuilt, I don't think I would keep using it because the airflow is bad for my case and gets dusty. I don't want to risk the wearing down or getting dust in the GPU fans after I get the rest of the parts which I will have to get eventually, seeing as how I'm studying 3d modelling and animation.

Hmm, well I would test the card with another system if possible before the warranty goes. It could be DOA.
