| Out of the many I've watched & read in all forms of media, I've never been so emotionally invested in a romance than I have for this episode. Best episode of the season/5. |

| Wow, the resolution was so quick compared to the rest of the arc. Like half the season was spent building the drama, but then within like two minutes it was all cleared up...It seemed like the directors (and mangaka, if the manga is the same way) took an easy way out. It felt so shallow, unlike the series up until now. |
| Felt so good to see Amarty get destroyed. So glad they're back together. Now they'll trust each other a lot more and their relationship is much stronger now. It was quite a surprise to find out Diana was also a deity. I guess that explain why she's so beautiful. Just wish we could see her true form as well. I hope this isn't the last we see of her. |

| That arc was so damn stressful to watch - i'm so glad to have a resoluton and things back to how they should be :) As people have said - the resolution was a little quick, but in all honesty - I was glad to be rid of that little kid Amarty. |

| That took way too long and was rather underwhelming. When does this series get like... really good? Last season was better than this arc, but even it was missing something. It just feels... lacking. It feels like it could be a lot better. |

| This series completely fooled me. In retrospect, I was too quick to judge Holo and my opinion on her behaviour has been relativised, now that we know who was behind the whole plan. Great arc and satisfying conclusion. |

| So in the end Holo wants Lawrence to always be straight forward with her while she only implies things and does everything behind his back for no reason. What a hypocrite, I get the feeling people only like her because she's a generic wolf girl. |

| Aaaaand that pretty much confirmes all my comments to previous episodes leading up to it. I'm not actually that surprised to fidn out Holo was just playing along to teach Lawrence a lesson(a harsh one that is). Though I kinda expected some even more Bonny and Clide type of plan, but it seems they were still acting separetely. Horaaay for true love. |

| The resolution to this arc was, slightly underwhelming and short. I will give some credit since why I did convince myself that it was Holo's way of challenging and motivating Lawrence by sending the contract signed and the details of the assets and I knew that Holo would go back with Lawrence by the end of things, I did undervalue how Holo thought of Lawrence's well-being the entire time to the point where she would never have gone with Amarti in the first place with no real thought of her going the other way till the end. But for all the buildup the show went through, the ending was really quick and just simple... and the resolution was quick too like all is forgiven. Depth wise, this felt lacking in both the characterization side as well as the economics side. Only real interesting thing was seeing Lawrence gamble the hell out of the whole predicament out of desperation, and him being woken up in the end by Marc's apprentice to be a real merchant and never give up. But the conclusion felt too tame for me. Hopefully now that everything is resolved, the rest of the show can improve and get better. But I also hope that there aren't more and more times with Holo being the only convenient tool to get drama off with the show, and Lawrence would use this experience to better characterize himself to always value Holo a lot more when being honest with her about stuff both in and out of the economics and merchant world. |

| Finally their problem is solved! Of course, Holo belongs to Lawrence ♡ so Amarty, you can go with me. lol. (Honestly, I feel sorry for him.. but that's okay, take this as a lesson, Amarty! you should be more careful). Deanna's story is quite interesting, I think her aura is quite different from the start, turns out she is a deity too? with a bird form.. |

| I think it was pretty smart to use those feathers to foreshadow that Horo was on her side all along. I'll admit I did want to see Amarty being exasperated for much longer, with voice acting too. That was a little bit of a letdown after such a long duration of tension. |

I hope the rest will make up for it ... right? i'm actually really upset about this. for anyone who loved the amarty arc, feel free not to read. i need to let off some steam. pretty boring feels like a hilarious understatement. season one provided one of my favourite bourgeoning romances in anime, ever, period, 10/10, would watch 500 more episodes of this shit, etc and then in s2 we have as follows: 1. more standard spice and wolf to begin with. great! its cute. im okay with it. only lasts like two ish episodes though, in between kind of uninteresting merchant things which, compared to last, haven't revealed much character this season... huh. that's ominous. well, i'm sure its just setting the new scene, right? this won't become a pattern..? 2. later, an emotional scene where holo is lashing out, justifiably betrayed, devestated at the revelation lawrence was hiding the destruction of her home from her, and s2 lawrence—clearly a new person after their travels together thus far—stands around, um-ing and ah-ing and doing nothing before leaving to do even more of nothing, apparently not to return, nor express any sincere regret for his actions. 3. practically 3 whole episodes of "suspense" via internal NTR because it turns out s2 lawrence—clearly a new person after their travels together thus far—has retracted all previous s1 character development and is now a generic ass blank slate self-insert with the brain of an asexual ecchi isekai protagonist who, at what is supposed to be the climax of the first 6 episodes, needs to be encouraged by (and i can't stress this enough) A LITERAL RANDOM CHILD to have faith in holo, in spite of his s1 character having zero reason to behave that way other than "oh, we needed to fill out the time with despair porn to make the ending more dramatic, or something." what the fuck? 4. finally, the plot twist, she was on his side all along, and wasn't worried at all, and oh, all along s2 lawrence was a moron being moronic because the story template they found on Tumblr needed him to be. anyone could see this coming. anyone. so what was the point of even airing it? does this pass as good romance anime to anyone? let alone THE best romance in anime, as s&w is at times hailed to be? i genuinely want answers here. how is this rated higher than s1? i need answers holy shit. it genuinely depresses me to say i tuned out of the usual spice and wolf antics (by which i mean holo aggressively flirting with lawrence and vice versa) by the end of it. i couldn't even enjoy them after that. like, what? i was, and remain, still in shock. did we watch the same first season? why was this arc so dogshit, so generic? i get that following up a beloved series which relied on good dialogue and characters actually having character might be difficult... and i get its a different studio and all, but for fucks sake! they took something utterly rare and turned it into every other b-grade romance-drama anime with a male protagonist denser than the fucking amazon. all they had to do for this not to suck was to focus on what made the first season so good: spice and wolf. not spice-without-wolf-teaches-grade-school-economics-for-half-a-season-while-he-despairs-does-nothing,-and-is-in-sum—excruciatingly-pathetic. if i wanted meaningless characters despairing over their own stupid behaviour i'd just read actual NTR. jesus f christ. i'm gonna go read the light novels. |

Yeah S2 was sadly a huge letdown compared to the amazing S1. I know sequels are rated higher for the filter effect alone but come one this just isnt as good, let alone better than S1. I originally wanted to read the manga and LN too but now I feel burned out by it, maybe I will do so later.. |

| I thought the conflicted ended way too suddenly but at least they made up. They actually talked it out and Holo had a whole scheme she was going with. I had some suspicions about Dian being another mythical entity but now that is confirmed and Holo hearing Lawrence's last question to her was funny as she used that against him. |

| This arc was way too long overall, yet this conclusion felt astonishingly rushed and half-assed. More to the point, I really, really don't like that this whole thing was just Holo "testing" the strength of Lawrence's feelings for her: that's an absolutely awful foundation to build a relationship on and it's massively unfair on Lawrence to have to go through that to stay with her. After all, how can he trust her to not do something like this again when she feels he's not sufficiently showing his love for her? On top of that, it's seriously cruel timing on her part to do something like this too: it's only been a couple of weeks or so since Lawrence nearly went bankrupt at the end of season 1 and it's fair to say he hadn't fully recovered from that psychological turmoil yet. Also, it's massively hypocritical that she wants him to be more straightforward with her when she's just pulled this massive stunt on him without explaining anything: this is less straightforward than Lawrence has ever been with her by a long shot. |
| An intricate plan on Holo's part, but it did put Lawrence through more stress and dejection than he probably deserved, considering what he already had to deal with in the first season. Seems to have worked out in the end, at least. |

| I'm gonna be honest, I was starting to lose faith in this series, but they pulled through I think they meandered a little too much with the economics/stock market portion, but at least Lawrence acknowledged that he doesn't know much outside of business and trade Oh and the mini-reveal that Diana is a bird creature was cool and served as a nice little world-building moment -- her design immediately reminded me of Roswaal from Re:Zero, haha Anyway, I hope we never see Amarty again. His English dub VA is a little.. hard on the ears |
| Damn... can't say I was a fan of this drama at all. Finally it's over! Felt pretty anticlimactic how it all ended, like in an instant and there we have it, the two are together talking as if nothing happened. That boy, Landt deserves a big reward. Can't believe he had to step in and stop Lawrence from giving up. Lawrence may have actually lost Holo there had he decided to give up. Landt is the MVP this episode. Also, had suspicion Dian wasn't human :D She had this "special anime character" written all over her design. |
