| seems interesting but not liking the whole "die in the game, die in real life" aspect of this anime. I understand you want more on the line but to lose ones life over a virtual reality game. its too wasteful. I mean is he trying to depopulate the planet? I think its too much. I rather like the notion of dying in the game and not being able to play that specific game again, than losing your life. I'll see how this goes but I don't like that aspect at all. |

| Great first episode! Really looking forward to finding out more about why the creator is doing all of this. Kirito is cute and I feel like Klein is going to be really loyal. Looking forward to meeting the rest of the characters, too. |

| Ah, very nice. The storyline reminds me of the movie Spy Kids: Game Over lol. So to me, it doesn't seem completely original but still interesting :} Plus, I lovedddd .Hack//Legend of the Twilight so I'm excited for another video game world type anime series :D |
| omg I ship Kirito and Klein SO FUCKING MUCH I SWEAR IF IT'S THE LAST TIME WE SEE KLEIN.......... To be honest I don't have high expectations but I really enjoyed this 1st episode. I heard a lot of different opinions about this - both positive and negative so I don't want to get too involved yet. |

| Here's a thought after watching episode 1... Why didn't any players consider pulling a Team Cartman strategy (from South Park) and just hang around the boars to level up? They could become godly with minimal risks! :D What is a Team Cartman strategy? Just something Cartman thought up in that South Park WoW episode. They wanted to challenge a godly PK, so to prevent themselves from getting PK-ed and to level up at the same time, they hung around the field with boars and kept killing the low level critters. Took them a long time but they eventually got Godly. :D |
| I decided to rewatch this series. I'll have to admit that the first time I saw this episode it reminded me of the good old days when I used to play MMORPG ^_^ |

| I finally decided to watch this after planning to do so for a while now and now I regret not watching this way earlier. Unreal start to a series and I'm already hooked to see what happens. Needless to say I know what I'm doing today...I;ll see you all in the episode 24 discussion later. |
| Well, I must say that I got dragged into this anime because there was either very good critic about it or really bad one, so I wanted to make my own opinion about it. Also, I just started to watch Log Horizon and so I want to compare them episode by episode. But I must say, I think that it was a solid first episode. The concept is interresting, the main look not too cocky, not too nerdy, not too superhuman. He look like a regular teenager. Though, the reason why they are trapped in it is kinda dumb. Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to do a system directly linked to your brain that can electrocute the fuck out of you in less than 10 seconds? And the creator is really just an huge sociopath? Also, why there seemed to be little children in a world that can be really so violent? Doesn't they have the PEGI? xD Anyway, I must say that it look promising so far, it can really devellop in every way, that's why I think it have a good potential. Also, the visual is really not bad at all, it's pleasing to the eyes. |

| It's hard to believe it's been nearly 2 years since I first saw this. I want to rewatch this not only because season 2 is right around the corner, but I think it's high time to put SAO to the test considering the ridiculous reception it's received within these 2 years. I want to see if, from a new perspective, I'll see something in this that makes me enjoy it more, become jaded and join the haters, or remain unchanged. As for this first episode, it's still as intense as I remember it. It set the scene up perfectly and it really drew me in. Even knowing what was going to happen, I still couldn't help but react in the same way as the first time. Well done episode 1. |

| This episode is a 4/5 for me. It was much less thrilling from an action/animation standpoint than many of the later episodes, and much less gripping from a storyline/character development perspective as well, but so it seems to be with the introductory episodes of many anime series. I think this episode did a succinct and satisfactory job of introducing the main plot points of the story, though, and giving us a taste of just what Aincrad is like. I just finished watched the entirety of SAO for the first time last week, and I'm already starting it over again. I'm looking forward to re-watching it and taking note of finer points in the story this time through, although nothing ever compares with that first viewing :) |

| Damn, I just love the OST! So you need NerveGear to play Sword Art Online. However, players can't log out. Out of ten thousand players, many have already died, including Kitaro. It's up to Kirito to finish the game. I just love the plot and the concepts revolving around it! |

I think watching the world of Aincrad is just as engrossing as playing in the world of Azeroth in WoW or whatever world in an MMO. It's beautifully animated, has a pretty solid story for the most part and some lovable characters, and an awesome soundtrack to go along with it. Hope you enjoy the series :) |

| Sooo the infamous Sword Art Online, I finally started it. And the first episode didn't disappoint. The settings looks really interesting, if the characters start off good I'll love this. |
| It was imperative to give this a try, after all I read and hear about it. MMOs aren't my cup of tea, but this was not so bad. It didn't even got me on the edge of my chair surely, but time passed quite smoothly. |

Kayaba should have anticipated far ahead enough~ But another question is raising in my head~ They have to wear the nervegear 24 hours-a-day so... Do They Even wash their hair?! Talk about a mold kingdom up there past those 2 bedrriden-years~ |

About Cline’s field practice, quite nice for moves in the spoiler adding of course the little MOB monster. I was impressed with SFX and light used along with the setting. About Cline’s hand shake, well that part in the spoiler showed how rich Cline was in his expression. I agree with my friend he can be quite hysterical but funny at times. Though a little bit of a whiner. What really was amazing in this part is the setting and the sun. Both melding nicely. About SHIT HITS THE FANS! Yeah that was quite the shocker in the spoiler that bleeding hand but also how comedy got put in in the form of Cline meeting Kazuto whom I know his moves and all now that I spoiled myself. About the girls, for one Rika "Liz, Lizbeth" Shinozaki in the spoiler is well done. I like her appearance from this. I know a little of her but I want to see how she is expressed in what I know of her from the little spoilers gathering on the net. This girl in the spoiler looks also adorable, however I am curious as to her role in this series. I hope it’s not cattle food to see getting killed. About thee end, nice leaving off with Cline and Kazuto in the spoiler I like how they show the level and Hps. Rather neat TBH. There is also random girl going outside of her place that perhaps more will be shown later. About OP/ED? (which one exactly?) the most that pleases me is the following, Now that is nice of Kazuto along with the spoiler showing him running, it’s perfect. The other element I like is how Yuuki Asuna, whom I claim already for myself no matter who else does and the other girl in the spoiler are shown and depicted. For one Asuna has a reflection so she will have 2 sides of her to deal with in terms of her character I am sure while the other one seems to be shown in total innocence whom LN readers I am sure know already. Other than that the list tells more.
So this series will be kind of Bokurano meets virtual reality in where once the player’s HP are 0 they die IRL. I was axing more the art being kind of like Valkyria Chronicles but alas not quite. Still strong 8/10 to start from me. BTW The End pic in the spoiler is a right click to save NOW! The art is amazing to say the least. Jaw is dropped. Funk your spoilers are long! They took up over half the page!!! |

| Seems pretty cool. It's only one episode so I don't get the bad ratings yet. It must get really bad later on for it to merit the sort hate that surrounds it. At the same time, SAO is second most popular show on MAL and has a score of 8.09. Maybe I'll end up liking it. |

| Well this was a really great start to the series. The music is freaking good along with the art which is pretty beautiful and I like how Sword Art Online looks. Kirito is just okay (though I do like his voice and that Bryce Papenbrook did a good job voicing him). |

| I have a feeling this is gonna be one of those anime with a great premise but awful writing. I really like the premise despite how unrealistic it is (why can't they just arrest the creator, for god's sake?) but I have a feeling the writing is going to be very generic and the anime won't actually say anything profound about what's going on. |
