Jojo's bizarre adventures question

I just saw the new winter anime lineup which is freaking amazing(durarara second season,assasination classroom,tokyo ghoul season 2,kuroko na basuke season 3).Something that also caught my eye was that Jojo's bizarre adventures:Stardust crusader is getting a second season.I have previously heard some really good comments about Jojo's bizarre adventures so I thought maybe I would try it out.But I am not sure where to start from.Is Jojo's bizarre adventures:Stardust crusader a completely different series from Jojo's bizarre adventures(2012),or should I watch that too?

The JoJo's Bizarre Adventure adapted part 1 and part 2 of the manga, while Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders adapted half of part 3.

The Parts signify a change in generations and protagonists, along with the spin on the storyline, but it still has the same style of camp and manliness.

The first opening showed pictures of the future main characters like Jolyne from part 6 and Josuke from part 4, etc.
