| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- "Pressing Dodgore" This was an action packed & fun to watch ep. It didn't make much sense to me to have Odelo & Tomache out there. They seemed so green it was embarrassing. At least they gained combat experience & didn't die though. That mobile armor was an ugly piece of crap. There is a reason those things are prototypes. Since everyone's headed back to Earth, I'm expecting an atmospheric battle. Those are always good. And someone always falls to Earth & burns up. |

| Wow, that thing was ridiculously impossible to exist even by Gundam's standards! But it was a pretty cool space battle xD Yeah this series overall doesn't make a lot of sense, but every gundam so far had some sort of inconsistencies anyway. |

| LOL, in my opinion, this show isn't really meant to make sense. I think it's intended to strike us at a more primal level, snakes because they're scary and universal (kind of like that spider-angel in Evangelion), noobs in battle because that's what young people can relate to (being thrown into the adult world). I don't think the show's intended to be analyzed for plot consistency, though it's a bit dark to be a kids' tale... |

| Now that was a really good episode! Poor Marbet... That "Mobile Armor" was really weird. I hoped it's pilot was going to live longer, since he seemed to be some badass guy. |

| The bugs were one thing, but this dragon looks stupid and out of place. Also Odelo and Tomache almost dying so many times haha. Yeah this episode was rather goofy. |

| NEW OPENING, FINALLY. Victory Gundam has some quality OPs and EDs, as expected from a Gundam show. Yeah, the funeral scene was very nice. |

| A stupid snake and lovely funerals. This MA XD (I know the Big Zam was too huge and all, but it came out better than this snake thing). At least, Zanscare stays in its beloved animal theme. The funeral scene was the best I have seen in a Gundam so far. (good even out of Gundam, too bad the death leading to it came out of nowhere) Odelo being sent on the battlefield as an in-training pilot in his very beginning, it was so ... what was the idea?! 3.5+/5 Back to Earth, I presume? May we be briefed about the road to the end now? February 26, 2017 edit: when I wrote this, I had totally forgotten the weird discordance @Sapewloth wrote about, between Marbet's lines and the scene I was seeing on screen. (there was maybe only a brief moment where what she said was true but it only happened AFTER her words). July 30, 3020 @St0rmblade The snake looked like a very expensive and extravagant thing indeed where there were a lot of other ways. |

| That fucking Hydra of Lerna looking ass MA, though. Even for Gundam standards that shit was ridiculous. Would definitely put even the ugliest Zeon suits to shame. Like the others, I don't understand why Tomache and Odelo were sent to the battlefield when they still had trouble finding their freaking balance. Nor why Marbet blamed herself for using the kids as shields when it was clear she was protecting them to the best of her ability, for that matter. I'm bitching, but this episode was pretty fun overall; the battle was entertaining enough and the funeral scene was absolutely gorgeous, as well as the first and probably only instance of an insert song used right in this show. |

| Tremendously good episode and that ode to Oliver at the end was fantastic. Nice touch at the end where the Victory Gundam's head is placed onto Marbet's Gundam. People weren't too fond of the Mobile Armor Snake thing, but I thought it was unique and enjoyed it. |
| Just when I started thinking that every ridiculous bug-themed and tire-themed mobile suit/armor and battleship has been used, I saw this. A dragon-themed mobile suit! Reminded me a bit of the "mobile suit of the week" style from Zeta, though gladly something outside of the battle happened too (funeral, Odelo and Tomashe's first battle, even if forced) Advice for Zanscare engineers: just take out the pilot instead of using garbage to block Gundam's movement lol When they were returning from battle, all the mobile suits suddenly lost their legs. What? Also unfitting music transition from Marbet's mourning in the cockpit to the funeral (too sudden, not smooth). No idea what was everyone holding during the funeral (Oliver's ashes?) but it was beautiful. Oliver got a special treatment (unlike other casualties) Also, "new" OP and ED (mostly new songs actually) |
