| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- The Invisible Giant. This was one of my favourites. I've always liked the story of The Fly, albeit I probably haven't seen it since I was in double digits, and I think Tezuka made enough changes to the story to make it stand out, even if it's impossible not to read it as a take on the Fly. Dr. Woods is a terrible person. Hanabusa's story was pretty tragic but I'm glad he got a happy ending beyond death, and as an enemy/threat he was really cool and unique. I also really liked the villains, Nada has a great design and I loved how he mocked Astro for destroying the evidence, allowing him to go free, though he definitely got his comeuppance. Also liked Oooo a good deal for how brief his appearance was, great design and seeing a human so easily thwart Astro definitely made him stand out. |
