| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Astro Goes to the Circus. Another really great chapter, this story arc's been a true winner. Really enjoy seeing a super fleshed out version of Astro's backstory, this time with alterations such as Scara's involvement. Tenma's a pretty interesting character, and I liked how he and his ex-wife's perspective flipped on Astro/Tobio, with her eventually coming to see him as her son and Tenma's turning on him since his lack of growth only made the obvious obvious, Astro's a robot, not Tobio. Thought it was fascinating how hard Tenma tried to secure Astro for at least a little while to visit his dying mother only to reprimand her after her passing for considering a robot her son. And poor Astro, glad Hamegg got a pie to the face. |
| I loved both Tenma's and his wife's development and how they changed their way of thinking. Tenma who once loved Astro came to hate him for all his incapabilities as a robot, and his wife who hated him came to love him as her own late son. This whole arc is truly well written. |
