| But serious answer, this show is too un-generic to get a higher score. It's slightly obscure, feels like a non-anime and hard to understand compared to the popular anime that have high scores. |

| To be honest, does it really matter what the rating is? Anyone who really cares about the MAL rating system really has a lot to learn on the way things are. One man's hidden gem of a show is another man's show that belongs in the garbage. I don't particularly care what anyone else gives the show, and I don't really expect anyone else to care what i gave the show either. |

| I don't think it was a masterpiece but yeah given how many people seemed to love it when it was airing I'm a bit surprised it didn't end up higher. I mean it might not have been as hyped as F/SN, Parasyte or Shigatsu were but it wasn't miles behind either |

| I agree, I cannot comprehend how is this not above 8. Not a masterpiece, not a miracle but still a pretty damn good anime. There are like >100 anime that really doesn't deserve to be above 8, but alas... And I must add that it's better than F/SN, at least the first cour. |

| Ikr. It's surprising. The show is great, at least an 8 for me (which is usually 9 and 10 for others) Had a unique protagonist, great voice casting, interesting fantasy (even though I don't really like fantasy), great comedy (well mix of serious/comedy), good character interactions and chemistry, appealing art, nice atmosphere and pacing etc. MAPPA's new titles are all great imo. |
