| Overall I liked the arc. However the final battle between the gods was cheezy. I respect that the hero's goal was not completely granted by end. The gods he protected, left! But he did succed in protecting the village. Hi no Tori Samma played Very Very Little in the entire arc. "Sorry, I can't be involved" Well then, sorry, but shouldn't this arc have been in another anime? |

| This was a nice arc. Too many characters were introduced that I could hardly keep up. Though why didn't he know that the wolf at the end was Mariko? I'm siding with granny on this one. He shouldn't have left... but I understand why he did. |

| I find this arc the best until now. Inu-gami-sama was by far the most resourceful hero until now and I found him more rational and self controlled than the rest of the heroes from this series. I was really impressed with this last battle because it reminded me of Iliad of Homer. In Iliad you had the heroes fighting with the gods by their side. That's why it surprised me to see, in this arc, the old gods fighting the power of Buddha, although, even if I don't know much about Buddhism, it intrigued me to see that a Buddhist priest had so flashy powers. He seemed more like a shaman to me. I thought Buddhism was something more discrete. I really loved the idea said by the Phoenix, that people are turning religions into weapons to serve their own desires. I never thought this in these simple words, but I truly believed it in my heart. Osamu Tezuka is a genius! |

| I don't enjoy the pacing of their adaptation. they kept the most essential and create something around it. There was a lot of material to begin so doing it 3-4 episodes is admirable. it's not my favorite arc in the manga either, so there's that. |
