Recommendations

Strawberry Panic is really the same principle, just the drama's less heavy and they take the shoujo-ai/yuri subtext further and out into the open.

Both stories are engulfing elite school life.

How has no one made this a recommendation yet? It's basically an entire school where everyone is yuri. I've heard people say they haven't seen a good yuri since this show, actually. Strawberry Panic just has more of a serious tone to it than Sakura Trick does, but both are great Yuri anime's.

Both take place at strict girls only schools. The main characters in both shows fall for a girl who are emotionally unavailable due to their past. The MCs are similar but Yuzu in Citrus is a lot more outspoken and assertive. Their love interests both have a facade towards people. Both shows have layered and well-balanced characters (Citrus a bit more so). They deal with problematic relationship dynamics in a good way. They both turn out really heartwarming and enlightening as we get further into the series. If you like one of these two - definitely give the other one a shot!

Girl-girl romances, or yuri. However not porn yuri, actual anime with fantastic stories and tensions.

Both are anime about a new girl at school who is liked by a prominent member of the school.

While Shoujo Sect is hentai, and Strawberry Panic only... let us call it borderline hentai, they're both well-made yuri anime, and should appeal to roughly the same audience.

Strawberry Panic and Clannad... both drama, romance and school in their genre, yet their only difference being Clannad having a sequel and Strawberry Panic being a yuri. I think if you liked one of these, you will probably like the other one aswell. At least you could give it a try, right?

If you enjoyed yuri anime's and you found strawberry panic to be one of your favorites so far, then you definately also need to see Kannazuki no Miko. *wink wink* hehe! And vice versa of course! Any Kannazuki no Miko fan would love Strawberry Panic. Trust me!

Both similar in the fact that they have yuri elements in it. They don't go overboard in the way strawberry panic does 8[ Both of these anime are funny and cute. Sasameki Koto may be a little more related to a slice of life.

I know what you're thinking, "How is a Yuri similar to a Yaoi?" They both have basically the same storyline. While one is about boys falling in love and ones about girls falling in love. Both anime go around from couple to couple showing their stories. There's also a main couple that you see a lot of and brings the other characters together. In my opinion if you're ok with the Yuri/Yaoi thing then you'll like both these anime.

Two of the best Yuri animes out there. If you liked one, you'll love the other. Bloom Into You has a more realistic story / is, at least in my personal opinion, better done, but Strawberry Panic is a classic and we all love Shizuma ;)

both shows involve a girl moving to an all girls school and falling in love with the other girls at the school. also, they both have very good comedy.

Though it's no Yuri I think the strong bond between the starring characters are very much alike. In addition to that both have a strong female character you will like. As I do like strong bonds between people I would recommend seeing Nana as well if you liked Strawberry Panic, also it has real good music in it.

Although it's never blatantly obvious, the quasi-implied twincest of Candy Boy would definitely pique the interest of anyone who fully enjoyed the raging lesbo fest of Strawberry Panic.

Both are dramas set in a very prestigious all girls' school. Both main characters are "plain" nd "simple" girls and both stories have a few "famous" girls in the school who everyone worships and adores. In both shows one of the famous girls has a dark/troubled past involving a female lover and both end up falling love with the "plain" main character. Both are drenched in melodrama and the people are superficial, mainly because of the time period, location and social status the students are.

The two share a similar narrative tone with equal doses of drama and comedy in an all-girls school setting. In both, stage performance is a major subplot, as are the themes of rivalry and predestination. Both also feature a character with a strong but one-sided attraction to one of the protagonists. While Revue Starlight isn't officially GL, it still has very prominent yuri undertones.

The shows are essentially very different, but I think if you like Utena as a character and if you enjoy the shoujo ai element, you would also like Strawberry Panic :) (And vice versa) They are also both very pastell-y shoujo series, and they both take place in a pretty strict school setting.

They are both Romance and Girls Love animes. The theme/school which Cafe Liebe takes inspiration from is very similar to the actual school in Strawberry Panic. Strawberry Panic is mostly focused on the romance between its female lead and her female upperclassman. Strawberry Panic is 26 episodes long. It has quite a bit of drama, great animation, and is produced by the highly acclaimed studio, Madhouse. Strawberry Panic is a classic, and is one of the best Girls Love Romance anime out there.

There is yuri in both. Strawberry Panic has a deeper emotions behind it compared to aki sora but there is seriousness in both.

Strawberry Panic! is similar in the story line being about many different characters surrounding one main couple, it has cute 'side' stories and is full of comedy. Strawberry Panic! is full of teasing romance and captures the same overall feeling of Junjou Romantica.

Izumi was similar to Nagisa, they're both moe-like, innocent and bottom, Ryouma was similar to shizuma, both are really tall, gorgeous and top, but Nagisa and Shizuma are the shoujo ai version of them.

What even is a Beastar? What gardening club could exist with only one member? Are there really schools like that? OMG, furries! Beastars is truly something new, but, it does have inspirations, and there are a few things about it that really only make sense as a faithful adaptation of another work. (E.g., why in the world would someone as powerful in society at the Beastar be solely chosen from among high school children?) I think one of those inspirations is a mildly-infamous 2006 yuri show called Strawberry Panic. The two works share many elements: • The elite boarding school setting. • The fruit-themed institution names (Cherryton Academy and  read more

There both hidden love between characters but there is no third person for a love triangle but strawberry panic made me think of yuki and komena sorry bad spelling

Even if they are different in gernes, they are very emotional, the story has tragedy in it and there is "love at first sight". I made this recommendation to show, that not just a shoujo-ai anime can be recommendation for another.

Another angsty anime with yuri elements that is centered around a female boarding school, with its main focus being the relationship between a feisty newcomer and her mysterious roommate who appears on the surface to be too perfect.

The graphics of each series is great, and both are Yuri/Shoujo-Aï animes! If you like Yuri animes, such as: "Kannazuki no Miko" or "Maria-sama ga Miteru", than these animes are for you! The plot is great, the music is good, and as said before, the graphics are fantastic!

artstyle is pretty similar beautiful school in the forest, beautiful girls + Nagisa and Ichigo resemble each other and their roommates do

Junjou Romantica would also be a good recommendation, too. If you love yaoi and yuri, you should definitely watch all 4 animes; Maria-sama ga Miteru, Strawberry Panic, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and Junjou Romantica. They all revolve around 3-4 couples. Anyway. - Both anime's couples have a dominating spouse - Both anime's couples have a somewhat sexual relationship. - Both anime's couples have a spouse protecting the other. There's so much more, but no way can I list all of them. The only difference is the gender, Strawberry Panic has women, and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi has men. And the age difference, too...however these two animes have a similarity no doubt.

Despite the more sic-fi like genre in Mai-HiME the yuri and slice of life are seen in both series. In Mai-HiMe it is a lot more subtext. It is only later on that the relationships/love between characters becomes a lot more clear though it is not viewed upon as favourably. Shizuru in particular remind me a lot of Shizuma in their similar school/social standing as well as their flirtatious attitudes though one is far less featured then the other. Either way it is a great show and I do recommend it.

While these are completely different in terms of genre (Assault Lily involves action and Strawberry Panic centers around school life and romance), they have more similarities than it seems first. The protagonist is a transfer student entering girls' school where there is a whole lot of cuties fighting for her attention. You will also be pleased if you like the 'mysterious senpai' trope.

Not has an extensive argument as Strawberry Panic!, but has great yuri scenes like this series (and more fanservice)
