Soul Link is a mediocre anime with Action and Romance, but with an incredibly boring storyline. After seeing countless anime series, I barely could find anything good about this anime. ^_^
Soul Link starts of any average anime introducing the main characters but straight after the 1st episode the true nature of this stupidly boring anime shows itself. This bishoujo (cute girls) anime just makes it obvious that the whole concept of cute girls in the military is the dumbest idea ever. Even though cute girls can help make an anime more enjoyable, in this anime they were just annoying. The whole plot to begin with, having military trainees in space when all of a sudden the terrorist attack, is poorly executed and can only lead to extreme stupidity. However after the major plot twist, this anime took the stupid storyline to a whole new level.
Even though Soul Link had an alright romance theme yet a stupid story and a large number of clichés, the weakest aspect of this anime were the characters. The way the characters reacted to certain situations was so terrible all I could do was laugh. During tense times when the enemy could attack at anytime, we have the group having fun, staring at a dragonfly and making love and the worst of them happens to be the male protagonist (Ryouta).
The animation quality was sub-standard and even though this was made by the same people who made the lovely "Shuffle!", it ended up looking average. The action sequences were poorly animated and it felt like a rushed job to complete this series. The music on the other hand is something I can't really judge properly because I spent a lot of time muting parts of the show due to the characters annoying voices.
To summarize, Soul Link turned out to be the worst anime I've seen in a long time and I know that my review was very negative but it's really hard to find anything positive about it. There was nothing special that set this apart from any other anime, it was just a bunch of recycled material that any experienced anime viewer is used to. There's nothing that I could say about the ending because it just wasn't even worth finishing. This is the kind of show you'll either hate or just won't mind watching, either way there's nothing special to attract anyone to this series, so there's no recommendation coming from me.

Soul link is a simple sci-fi, action thriller with a hint of drama. It's not a show that can please you but it can amuse you a bit. It's perfect for time killing just like playing shougi, checkers, and the like.
*WARNING* - only watch it when you have nothing else to do.
It has a story, but it's pretty much not interesting. The way it was presented gives you a feeling of curiosity at times so as to give you a bit of patience and interest to finish watching the series. It also has a bit of fanservice to tease affected viewers.
The art is the only aspect it can be proud of because everything looked alright and the characters look good. This is an anime you'd only watch for good looks.
The sounds were fine. It has a decent OP song, the voices are good, the ambience is good, everything is ok. Nothing to complain about except maybe the ED song and nothing to be proud of as well.
The lowest point of this show are the characters. I would say that the cast is poor, but some were kind of satisfactory to some point. So, I'll say that the characters are enough to be decent.
Soul Link is nothing really enjoyable, but it's able to pull off somehow with some twists and turns, and a bit of service. Kills your time like a simple game of chess with a friend. read more

Both are sci-fi horror with a lot of cute moe girls.

Soul Link is made by the same people who made Shuffle! Even though the stories are very different, I like both of them. If you wanna watch the other one, I'm gonna tell you again that the stories are VERY VERY DIFFERENT. Shuffle! is about a school-life and all the girls love the guy, I think that all of you know that gerne, Soul Link is more the action thing with weapons and the story takes place in outer space. If you still wanna watch the other one, go ahead, don't know if you will like both but I really do! =D
