In both shows, the main character's intentions are winning from one another. In Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai, there is a more serious tone to the show and both characters have their up and lows in their "Love War". Meanwhile, Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san is more tender and sweet kind of anime. The female protagonist is always on advantage and is happy to tease the male protagonist who tries (uselessly) to fight her back.

Same style. Girl teases boy. However, the girl from Ijiranaide is just so intense than the other.

Comedy with similar character dynamics, a girl teasing a socially awkward guy.
report Recommended by abystoma2
Both shows have female MC who loves to tease the male MC. If you are looking for a fluffy, cute, and full of sugar romance, give these shows a try!
report Recommended by Pyonopon
Comedies about boy and a girl in school setting, sitting close to each other and teasing/pranking the other to get away with boredom. In Seki-kun the boy is the one teasing most of the time, in Takagi-san it's the girl.
report Recommended by abystoma2
Both share a light-hearted tone and some beautiful lovely comedy, sure Tsurezure was shorter and had more characters, but the whole experience, specially with one couple is really similar.

Cuteness overload Sweetness overload Make you smile 20 minutes straight every episode.
report Recommended by yevamelankolia
Both shows are school-centered gag shows that place a premium on ridiculous situations and pure comedy. Sakamoto Desu-ga? is more surreal, with elaborate set-ups at times, while Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san focuses more on fast, frequent laughs.

In both shows you will see the relationship between a mysterious girl and a normal guy trying to surpass her skills. Similar humor style.

From the same studio, the premise is the same between an angsty boy meeting a beautiful girl, albeit the boy in The Dangers in My Heart is not teased as much in Takagi-san

Both of these anime feature an aggressive female protagonist (who is secretly in a relationship with) and a naïve male protagonist. Except that Ueno-san is more aggressive than Takagi-san.

They're both adorable and funny middle school romcoms.

Whilst the two anime are indeed entirely different, they both follow protagonists who have a thing for being something of a trickster, whether that be playing one another via teasing and silly little frantic children commit, or if it is actual shills and cons in an attempt to reel in serious stacks. These anime know how to use their mind game elements, and present them in a fun little gamble making for an entirely enjoyable show leaning to more of the less comedic side. Both are good comedy anime, you will know which audience they cater to but both are pretty good universally assuming you are  read more

What we have here are two dudes who are very eager to complete what it is they set out to do at the cost of their significant other. One of these days, your only hope for a change in a still very entertaining and funny series.

Annoying. Teasing Master Taakgi-san and A Whisker Away both follow a girl who is directly annoying to the partner. Teasing Master has Takagi and her counteracting of whatever Nishikata has to play. Whisker Away has Muge and her silly antics she pushed onto Hinode. Both are good comedy anime with touches of romance, Whisker Away being a movie, Teasing Master being a TV anime.

Both are set in school setting where their love blossoms into fine wine. It's cute, fun and wholesome romcom that soothes your heart instantly. Nishikata challenges Takagi into some fun shenanigan's and Takada enjoys spending time with Nishimura which is kind of similar. Both series have good comedy and lovable characters, so check these 2 fun animes out.

A boy and a girl grow closer to each other through the use of unusual trait. Takagi-san lacks stylish execution in comparison with Nazo no Kano, but when it succeeds it captures the beauty of unconsciously being in love.
report Recommended by Oji-nyan
The plot is almost the same, but this time we invert the roles. Absolutely wholesome

The Maid of Bocchan teases him all the time, just to see his reaction, is very similar but not innocent like Takagi-san
report Recommended by DESENHOXD
Both are aid-back school, comedy anime and each episode branch off into multiple parts.
report Recommended by Bakumako18
Both Main girl and main boy characters have similar interactions in the both animes, and gives a bitter sweet feeling that i really like. If you find this anime good then you might find this other one good either.

Both are light-hearted slice-of-life shows with a similar teasing dynamic between the main characters

Romcom but less serious and much more light hearted!
report Recommended by fujiwaratofuten
Both revolve around the life of a set of characters in a school tho some episodes divert towards some of the supporting chracters Both are comedies but Takagi is more romance centered and without dirty jokes, at which Galko excels

The same story plot where it involves guy getting punked at by girl, the difference were that guy Takagi-san was pathetic , while in Jouzu, they guy is a wussy.
report Recommended by JiangHaoyi1979
Both have a beautiful story where the female MC tries to lovingly reach out to her lover, who has not yet assumed love for her. Although the characters in Ao Haru Ride are older, and as a result, the anime has a slightly more mature style, it provides the same fun.
report Recommended by Scizooor
Both comedy, slice of life, Nichijou's style is making the mundane parts of life exciting

Karakai Jouzo no Takagi-san Karakai Jouzo no Takagi-san is a masterpiece. I watched it before Toradora and was the second anime that made me happy in a tough moment. It's also about a slice of life but with a focus on two kids growing up. There are friendship, provocations, and mind games. Everything is so sweet. If you liked Toradora, this other anime is an almost sure recommendation.

This anime is for people who are lovers of the romance genre
report Recommended by Maou_anos
Both are light-hearted romances that take place at school. Very relaxing to watch, there is no drama, and you will love all the characters!
report Recommended by tommevoo
Cutesy anime. MC in both gets teased by the main love interest, which happens to be the popular girl everyone wants, and yet goes for the boring looking bland guy. Both animes are a great school slice of life; as well as have a focus on the background characters to add a sense of reality and depth.
report Recommended by Abstract_Creator
Both animes are a breath of fresh air. They will make you smile, they will make you love the characters and they will remind you of the more innocent times. Takagi-san and Rin are very similar characters. They're smart, charming and strong. Not to mention their appearances are very similar. Watching Rin feels like watching a younger Takagi-san and vice versa. So, if you have enjoyed the experience of one anime, perhaps you will find joy in the other.

Ok so this may seem a little far fetched, but I assure you there is similarity. Death Note and Teasing Master Takagi-san both follow MCs who are in constant mind games with each other. Death Note featuring the battle between Light and L. Takagi-san featuring Takagi and Nishikata in playful contests that use a ton of thinking and getting into their opponents head. With Death Note being a dark psychological anime about serial killings. Takagi-san is much more light-hearted and wholesome.

For those who didn't know they wanted a full season of D'Arby the Gambler. If you enjoyed the mind games of that arc, then prepare a shrine because it's time to worship the goddess of abject mental torture, Takagi-san!
report Recommended by _ghostCandle
Both are set in middle school. Both animes have a lot of comedy elements even though Kodocha has more drama while Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san has more comedy.
report Recommended by TakaCode
Very similiar but here (Special A) the girl is the one losing over the boy, she always lose all challenges to him but she never give up too.
report Recommended by Mike_ptbr
They both consist of subtle love story between classmate and very sweet to watch!

Same vibes, similar characters, different plot. - Nishikata is like Usami, they got teased and blushed a lot by their love interest/close friend. - Takagi is quite similar to Uchimaki in terms of teasing/making the main protagonists blush (although Takagi did it on purpose, while Uchimaki didn't even notice it). - The girl trio from Karakai Jouzu is basically a chibi version of Usami's female friends. However, the difference is clear. Konobi is focused on Art Club activities, while Karakai Jouzu is focused on the challenges between Takagi & Nishikata. If you enjoyed one, you'll definitely like the other.

Similar relationship between the two main characters. The girl (Masuzu/Takagi) is invincible, while the boy (Eita/Nishikata) keep getting teased/embarrassed.
report Recommended by renzospark
In both anime, the female leads enjoy to tease and make the male lead's life hard. While Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san is more innocent and sweet in a high schooler's setting, in Dagashi Kashi there is a more intense humor with sometimes a more serious tone to life. The point is, if you're looking for an anime with a sassy girl, both of the anime are a great pick.

A boy and a girl grows closer to each other through the use of unusual trait. Takagi-san lacks stylish execution in comparison with Hyouka, but when it succeeds it captures the beauty of unconsciously being in love.
report Recommended by Oji-nyan
Both are romance anime that really capsulate the "love" between teenagers. Both also had me grinning like a madman, so there's that.
report Recommended by Blytz
- comedic slice-of-life school anime - both anime involve people getting teased by other people (and that's one of the main plot points); Satanya by Gabriel and Raphiel - Nishikata by Takagi
report Recommended by Sayaznk
Two protagonists who are friends and feel love for each other. In addition to the art style and the theme of friendship and love. More drama (Isshuukan Friends) and more comedy (Karakai Jouzu on Takagi-san).
report Recommended by LovelyNao
While Non Non Biyrori is a story about friendship beetwin several youg girls, Karakai Jouzi is a romance beetwin two young childrens. But both are very peacefull anime made with nothing but cuteness and happiness, and you finally watch them with a smile painted on your face.
report Recommended by Screaming_G
- Both (generally) light hearted - Lots of fluff - Feel good - Adorable animation
report Recommended by paluma
A slice-of-life set in school, the titular female character has the main male costar wrapped around her finger. She is manipulative and always getting what she wants at his expense.

Kyou no 5 no 2 instantly came into my mind after watching the first episode of Karakai Youzu no Takagi-san. Both series are school comedies with boys-girls interactions creating funny moments. However I'd say Kyou no 5 no 2 is more ecchi. If you enjoy Karakai Youzu no Takagi-san then Kyou no 5 no 2 will be a nice series to check out. Cheers :)

Both are Romance anime giving pretty different vibes. Despite this, I believe that both anime are quite similar to each other. Both main characters of the anime are teased by the ma love interest. In Kaichou wa Maid-sama, this would be Misaki being teased by Usui and in Karaki Jouzu no Takagi-san it would be Nishikata being teased by Takagi. Both anime are also quite comedic as well.
report Recommended by meitanteiadri
both funny light-hearted romance anime, lot of teasing

In both these series the female MC tends to lead in the relationship dynamic rather than the male MC. their dynamic is adorable.
