Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san

both are about boy and girl that are clearly in love but refuse to confess and instead they tease eachother in a battle of wits. both shows are also episodic and episodes are divided into several segments instead of focusing on one scenario each episode.  

Both anime: - Are about a boy and a girl who have a crush on each other but are too cheeky too confess. - Have two main characters who do a lot of stupid stuff to make fun of each other. - Are so fricking innocent and cute. 

The main duo in both anime try to outsmart each other. Both are Romantic Comedies. While Takagi-san is more grounded and cutesy, Kaguya-sama is much more dramatic. (I just noticed that both have the name of lead female in their title). 

Both animes have a similar concept- tsunderes try to assert dominance over their crush by utilizing various scenarios. The only difference being that its one-sided in Takagi-san but mutual in Kaguya-sama. Kaguya-sama is also a bit better executed and has fresher jokes. 

I think this anime has the same MC and Heroine like each other, it's just that in the Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san mc doesn't realize his own feelings. This anime is suitable for those of you who are looking for a romance genre with a relaxed groove, given a comedy addition that makes you smile yourself.

Hilarious comedy ensues! A guy and a girl fall in love, but refuse to admit it and instead engage in a daily battle of the brains, constaatly trying to outthink one another. Although Kaguya is about trying to get the other to confess love, and Takagi is about Nishikata trying to tease Takagi; the overall feel of the show remains very similar. Both are cute, funny, and feel like being hit by a beam of happy. If you enjoy the brain battling comedy of one, the other should be right up your alley. 

Both are about a teasing war between 2 lovers, the difference maybe is one it's a close war the other is one sided 

Both are romantic comedies with a focus on mind games. In Kaguya both competitors are on equal footing. In Takagi it is mostly the female protagonist that wins the games. 

Both anime have a premise of teasing and funny mind-games and also share the lighthearted, wholesome kind of humour relating to having a crush on someone 

both anime have a lot of fun mind games, a similar setting, plot and similar romance 

Takagi and Kaguya would be great friends. The girls relate to each other in the sense that both are cunning. Takagi is magically good at reading her guy while Kaguya is incredibly well prepared. While love may be war, Takagi pretty much already won the war. Unlike the battles in Kaguya-sama: Love is War, the "battles" in "Teasing Master Takagi-san" are... you guessed it! Just a whole lot of teasing! Nishikata is cunning, but not enough. Unlike Shirogane compared to Shinomiya, Nishikata isn't on the same level as Takagi in this game. Only thing missing from Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san would be a dancing girl and an incredibly gloomy gamer, but the characters from this anime introduce their own unique part to the show!  read more 

similar comedy/romance, lots of mind games and slow character development due to it, so when the slightest thing happens you freak out 

Both shows have a Male and Female MC who bother each other constantly. Attempting to win each other over by purposefully, and precisely, teasing one another. However in Takagi-san it is less obvious what the characters intentions are (romantically at least), but it does follow a very similar premise. Personally, I think if you like Love is war for the playful teasing between two characters that know they like each other, but aren't willing to admit it, you'll also like Takagi-san. 

Both feature a boy and girl as protagonist. In both anime, they are in love but unwilling to admit it, and resort to teasing each other instead. Karakai jouzo no takagi-san is, in my opinion, a little bit more cute since it's about middle schoolers. Kaguya-sama features high schoolers, raising the jokes to a more mature level at the cost of cuteness 

It tells a romance in which neither confesses, and they fight for the other to do it. Unlike Takagi San, whose rule is "If you blush, you lose", here the rule is "If you fall in love, you lose". It is a unique and emotional anime. 

In Karakai they openly challenge each other to games where the looser has to do something for the winner while in Love is war they indirectly challenge each other to get the other person to confess their love to them, In Karakai, the girl wins pretty much all the time since she's the "Teasing Master" and the guy is kind of an idiot but in love is war they're both geniouses so it can go either way, though the girl gets her way most of the time since she's deceivous and goes a bit further to win while the guy is a bit more rightous since he's a good, hard-working guy from a poor family while the girl comes from a rich family. The big difference the two shows have is lack of characters in Karakai in comparison to love is war. The main focus in Karakai is the guy and the girl and while other characters show up it's not much. But in love is war they got 4 mains who have great chemistry with each other which gives the dialouges a lot more variety. Something both shows has a lot in common is perfect voice acting. Takagi must have the most wholesome voice I've ever heard, when she laughs you just have to smile. And if you know about japanese voice actors, just seeing Yuki Kaji should tell you that it's gonna be good. The voice acting in love is war is a bit more intense at times, hard to explain but you'll know what I mean when you hear it. All 4 mains sounds perfect, the VA who voices Chika from love is war even voices one of the trio girls from Karakai. Enjoyability from both show gets a 10/10 read more

Just like Takagi, the main character is teased by the girl he likes, this anime isn't as cute as Takagi-san series, but it's still cool 

Both have that same character romance plot, were pathetic guy always get's tease by smart-alecky girl and worse is the guy doesn't do anything to get rid of smart-alecky girl.....Thought the girls may have the same attitude towards the guy , the guys on the other hand were different, cu'z in one anime the guy there is a pussy, while the guy in the other one was just plain pathetic.  

Both are anime about girls being cruel to boys.

Girl: - Annoying girl has a sempai to kohai kind of relationship. - Girl maybe annoying to his sempai, but she does protect his sempai from being bullied. -  read more 

both animes show a couple in which the girl teases the boy 

The only difference is the setting; aside from that, there is nothing to add as both essentially presents the same premise, concept, and atmosphere. The story revolves around a bland, dull, and ordinary guy who is constantly being teased by a playful and mischievous girl for no apparent reason other than being attracted to the said guy (which also has no reason other than the author simply wanting it to happen). Overall it is a great series to learn from, reasonably realistic for the most part, while its humor (along with its comedic value) is on the other level. If you're looking for a rom-com anime to laugh at, then I highly recommend these two! read more 

Both shows revolve around a popular girl teasing a looser as they slowly fall in love in a surprisingly cute way, although Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro is a less innocent show and has more sexual innuendos and the main girl is much more sadistic. 

Both animes have a girl teasing the main character who gets embarrassed easily. In Teasing Master Takagi-san, the teasing is more through pranks set up by Takagi whereas Nagatoro is more direct teasing as well as being a lot more intense overall. One minor difference between the two is that,Teasing Master Takagi-san is set up with Middle School characters instead of High School. 

Similarities: Both anime take place in a high school setting Both Female Main characters tease the male main character who is mostly social awkward Girl shows her way of liking someone through teasing them  

Both animes have a girl teasing a nerdy boy. Both are comedies. But Takagi-san is more for 12+ audience and Nagatoro's more like 16+. :) 

If you want to see MC being teased by FMC innumerable times, both shows are for you. Takagi-san takes a more balanced approach, whereas Nagatoro-san goes overboard. 

MCs are a boy and a girl, and mostly the shows are tell by the boys perspective, the girl usually teases the boy for watching his reaction, chapters are divided in some kind of mini-chapters, some of this mini-chapters are similar from one and other telling some similar jokes 

same concept except the fact takagi san is more wholesome than nagatoro is its basically the middle school version of nagatoro 

As the episodes go on, I have noticed some behaviours and plots similar to this show. Watch it and see if I'm wrong because I'm not imagining it, aren't I? 

Both anime feature a male protagonist who is teased endlessly by a girl from their school and in both series both protagonists are secretly in love with each other but can not say it. In Nagatoro-san, Paisen enjoys the teasing in a masochistic way; whereas in Takagi-san Nishikata is constantly scheming to essentially one up her. Despite this difference, I am confident you will enjoy one if you enjoyed the other as the overall tone and motifs of the series are very similar.

Main Character is always bullied by heroine

Girls... they all love teasing pathetic boys(in a good way). In both show the protagonist is a pathetic boy who get teased by a girl. Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san is an anime that shows a girl teasing her senpai same to Karakai but in Karakai the heroine teases her classmate not her senpai. 

Both of the heroines are tryna beat up the male protag with their god-tier teasing. The male protagonist ends up actually developing their characters and starting somewhat of a romance with the heroine.  

Both of the main characters are being teased by their crushes... Must watch :)) 

I personally watched Teasing master Takagi-san before Don't toy with me Nagatoro-san, so I am kind of in favor of Takagi-san as Nagatoro seem like she is more bullying the mc than teasing him. Whereas, Takagi and Nishikata have a cute relationship with wholesome moments. Nishikata is always trying new techniques to make Takagi embarrass but fails as she backfires and makes him the victim. On the other hand, the mc of Nagatoro-san (I don't remember his name) is a nerd who keeps getting teased and not even try to escape from it. Well, that's my opinion. Thank you for reading. 

Both are comedy series that revolve around a chick annoying and teasing a male protagonist. As the two main characters interact expect a lot of sweetness and humour as these characters have fun and draw closer together as a romance begins to blossom. Takagi differs being set in high school and revolving around innocent love, while Uzaki-chan features adult characters with more ecchi styled humour. Overall, if you enjoy especially sweet comedies that revolve around the interaction between two characters becoming closer together you can expect to enjoy both series. 

Both are about people that obviously like each other, but instead of being straightforward with their feelings, choose to express their emotions through teasing and taunts. Fun romantic slice-of-life comedy as long as you're not bothered by the slow development of the main ship.  

Both anime feature the female MC often teasing the easily flustered male MC. The only difference is that Takagi-san is set in Middle School while Uzaki-chan is set in college.

Both anime are about teasing but karakai jouzu no takagi-san is quite wholesome to watch whereas uzaki-chan wa asobitai is just uzaki being annoying.

Both shows feature a titular female character teasing a male lead. Both shows follow a slice-of-life format and overall presentation. Takagi-san is more reserved, slower-paced, and the humor is far more "clever". Uzaki-chan is more "hyper", has much faster pacing, and it is easily the "trashier" of the two series. If you liked either one, you would probably enjoy the other as well. 

Both comedy series shows Female MC that always bother Male MC and gave them weird situation. Both also show female MC that use their own character to get closer to male mc by bothering them. Uzaki-chan use her weirdness, and takagi-san use her intelligence to bother male MC. Character of Takagi-san looks smarter than Uzaki-chan but Uzaki-chan is more funny than Takagi-san Both also have good OST Uzaki-chan is more weird and funny character than Takagi-san but I tought have fanservice in it Bonus: Both use main character's name as title  

Teasing is fun but it may ended up in a good way on how you meet each other. 

Both are comedies that take place in a classroom setting where the two main characters sit right next to each other. One tries to outsmart the other. 

Both are comedy anime mostly set in a classroom, about teasing and/or playing pranks on the person sitting next to them. Takagi-san has romance, Seki-kun does not. They've got a similar feel, so if you liked one, you'd most likely like the other as well. 

Similar comedy. Even concept is a bit similar. A boy and a girl who sits on back bench in school teasing each other. 

While in Karakai Jouzu we have a male protagonist who can not understand the female protagonist and is surprised by what she does, in Tonari no Seki-kun we have the inverse 

The way Nishikata gets into trouble when he tries to get Takagi to blush reminded me a lot of the mischief the main pair in Tonari no Seki-kun would get into. 

The same plot where it involve guy getting punked by a girl, the difference though was in Karakai Juuzon the girl there really does punked the guy while in Kubo-san the girl there was just assertive.  

It has a relatively similar plot to Takagi-san, as Kubo "annoys" the protagonist. Although it is in a different way to Takagi-san, similarities can be noted. Also, both are romantic comedy anime, but with a strong emphasis on comedy. 

If you liked Takagi-san's teasing, then you'll probably also like Kubo-san's brand of teasing as well. While Takagi-san has a more comedy-esque style to it, Kubo-san is more... wholesome-er? cuter? Regardless, it's a damn good anime for any romance lovers out there. 

The main characters of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san and Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai are both a girl who teases the boy main character and the boy who is teased by the girl main character. In each series, the focus is comedy slice of life with heavy undertones of romance primarily in a school setting. Beyond all of these obvious connections, the art style of the scenery and characters as well as the overall feeling of each show are fairly similar. Each has delicate voice acting that conveys the mood of the lead characters adeptly. For all of these reasons, if you're a fan of Takagi-san, I strongly believe you will enjoy Kubo-san as well. read more

They are not the same, but they feel similar. Both are romantic comedies that treat love in a very basic way but also very pleasant to watch.

Aaah sweet youth! Both these shows are really comfortable with their lovey-dovey atmosphere, interpreting romance in the cutest most innocent way possible, just makes your heart feel fluffy... Both these shows have dominant characters, that take lead and just straight up make the other person blush out of embarrassment... 

Takagi and Nishikata are literally Chiaki and Kana, the best couple of "Tsurezure Children". They're seemingly careless and comical but I think there is more to it. Both shows are funny and clever, too. 

Same vibes. fell in love with both in the same way. Short skits that leave you wanting more. 

Both by Shin-Ei Animations, they took what they did with Takagi-san and improved on it. Both are wholesome slice of life romance shows that will make your heart skip. 

They are both romantic comedy anime series. They share similarities in the sense that they focus on the dynamic between the main characters, their interactions, and the development of their relationship. Both series also incorporate humor and light-hearted moments to engage the audience. Overall, they explore themes of friendship, love, and the ups and downs of relationships in a playful and entertaining manner.  

The Dangers in my Hearth is an anime where a socially akward boy starts talking with an unique girl who in some point falls in love with him. Just like Takagi-san. Dangers in.. is a show that takes the best of Takagi-san and My dress up darling and mix them. Both shows, the dangers in my hearth and Takagi-san have the same director and animation studio. If you like Takagi, this one is a must. 

Both are really wholesome and lighthearted. If you like the peaceful atmostphere Takagi and Nishikata gives off, I think you would find Clueless First Friend in some degree of entertainment too 

for me, they were the same but just gender swap lmao. the way that one of them is teasing, extroverted and having a good vibes with the other one having the calm and introverted vibes just seems adorable. it's an easy watch, with a storyline that doesn't get too complicated like the other anime that having a love triangle or something else like that. 

Both are a comedic school series that consists of several segments per episode. And they both explore a single theme throughout the episodes: Sakamoto's "coolness" and Takagi's teasing. In addition to various subplots along the way. 

I believe the humor is pretty similar, people try to make sakamoto look bad by teasing him or making jokes, and then sakamoto finds a way to still be the coolest guy in the world. And here Nishikata is teased by Takagi, creating funny situations where Nishikata tries to recover his honor. 

Both protagonists are playful boys who enjoy being around a specific girl 

Both center around romantic relationship between a girl and a stubborn boy. Takagi-san is more slice of life while High Score Girl has a gaming element and is in CG. 

the same setting where it is in middle school, the same girl who is dere dere to a guy, but the guy in general in Karaki is a dandere while in Ueno the guy is a kuudere.  

They are both the same premise. The girl is teasing the boy because she likes him and wants him to notice. Takagi-san is more cute and less... mild ecchi.... but If you enjoy the "romance" in Ueno, Takagi-san might be worth your time. 

Well it is a well-made anime with significant similarities because of its story flow and events that is happening between the MC and the other party 

both are about 2 middle schoolers, that have a crush on each other, and while the girl accepts her feelings and tries to win his heart, the boy is embarrassed and struggles with accepting it. at some point a white kitten makes them grow closer to each other 

Both got a similar comedy aspect. The animation is kinda refreshing 

Somewhat surprised I didn't see this recommended yet. Both shows give off the exact same feel-good vibes with plenty of hints towards romance between the main characters, but both lead males are oblivious to this in their own way. They also have a lot of similar episode themes and both make for an all-around relaxed and happy anime experience. Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san is more of an innocent middle school version of this story, while Nozaki is the high school adaptation. The other main difference is that the roles are reversed between the male and female leads. Nozaki in a way, unknowingly, teases Chiyo by putting her through romantic scenarios all while being completely unaware of her legitimate interest in him. On the other hand, Takagi purposefully teases Nishikata because she loves making him nervous and seeing him blush from being around her. read more
