Space: the final frontier. The ultimate aspiration for Humanity´s willingness to deal with the unknown (at least until a multiverse is confirmed). And who is Humanity´s best friend in such an endeavor? Spaceship is. I tried to make this list using mostly lesser-known fanservice-free anime. Most of these make the list based on having MAL ratings lower than PG-13 or having clean ratings for no sexual content or nudity on doesthedogdie.com. Some of the selections in the list do have fanservice in the original Japanese version that was omitted for the Western release. anime with little to no oversexualization/hypersexualization of female characters. no harems regardless of horniness because it's still weird & misogynistic. i tried to avoid shows that simply have little to no girls at all. i'm tired of feeling grossed out by every anime/manga !! Anime that were made in collaboration with studios from countries outside Japan. Outsourcing doesn't count. Aeni and donghua international co-productions may also be included. This is a list of series that have gotten relatively little attention and are underrated, despite being very good. I'd encourage everyone to at least try some of the shows in this list -- you might really enjoy them. Anime that lists Shouji Kawamori as Mecha/Mechanical Designer. Several sources outside of MAL such as Anime News Network and his JP Wikipedia page were used to make this list. Anime for people who hate anime. This list was made based on recognizability to Western audiences, lack of fanservice, and lack of typical anime tropes.
