Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Kirameki no... Slapstick Noel

Although Yuuta Togashi and Rikka Takanashi have just started dating, they do not know how to progress their young relationship. Due to both of them being shy, neither of them are capable of making the first move. Rikka decides to ask her class representative Shinka Nibutani for some love advice, and she advises Rikka get closer to Yuuta during the Christmas season. Following the suggestion of Yuuta's friend, Makoto Isshiki, they hold a Christmas party at Sanae Dekomori’s place.

During the party, Yuuta notices Rikka has gone missing and searches for her. When he finds Rikka, he notices that she is acting strange and quickly figures out that she and Sanae are both drunk! How will this Christmas party turn out for the budding couple?

This OVA is literally an episode 13 of the main anime. Same art style, same VA, same everything. If you want an extra laughing stock to consume, then this is the perfect episode to watch. Its filled to the brim with funny interaction between the club members, a stress relief i could say. There is also some secret trivia revealed about the characters.

The main anime have a beautiful ending with everything explained. So this OVA served as a filler episode. There isn't much going on, but it is worth a watch so you know deeper about every characters relationship. Because this whole episode plot is ...

This special was actually focused on the romance in which the main show lacked in season 1. If would be much better if every episode in season 1 was like this rather than attempting to cover the main plot. I recommend watching this since this is what I think, the representative episode of what I chose to watch the anime for.

The story doesn’t deviate much from what is expected, but provides a nice backstage for the events to happen. The characters gets a proportionate amount of attention and screen time based on how much enjoyment the bring to the episode.

Let's start with the story, shall we? It's about a group of high school students who suffer from "chuunibyou", which basically means they have delusions of grandeur. But despite this, they manage to find love in each other, and that's what makes the story so darn charming. It's not groundbreaking by any means, but it gets the job done.
