SynopsisAn unknown force of great evil is on the move awakening the seeds of possession which have been scattered throughout the world. Once awakened, the seeds bring forth a great monster capable of much chaos and destruction. Enno Chiaki is the 55th generation child of Enno Ozunu - a great mage who lived in Shikigami-cho 1200 years past, who lives at the family shrine making ends meet by doing exorcisms and showing people about town. The family shrine however also holds the seal to one of the seeds of possession. Two of Karma's minions travel to Shikigami-cho in order to release the seal on the seed. Chiaki faced with a possession beast needs help and fast, if only she could break the seal holding Zenki - the family's protector demon and summon him forth.

Ha! That part is just like in Inu Yasha… And this one is so Bleach-like… Wow, I just saw a scene from Kekkaichi!
ART & SOUND SECTION: 6/10
- We have a typical modern Japanese setting, filled with typical looking characters and monsters, talking in a typical way. I have seen so many titles taking place in an average looking Japanese city, with teenagers fighting demons that this sort of thing has become less interesting than the word “unoriginal” can cover. If you are a seasoned otaku, you will simply not find anything different or attractive to look at or listen to for long.
- On the bright side, the visual and sound effects are a step above the usual mambo-jumbo pointless battles. Although the choreography of fighting is still the same old “turn-based, voice-actvated energy beams”, the vivid colors and the detailed explotions make the battles not completely boring.
STORY & CHARACTER SECTION: 3/10
- Teenage schoolgirl / priestess teams up with demon-eating demon (that’s right!) and fights demons. About 48 filler episodes later, a big bad guy appears, one big battle occurs, the good guys win and we have a happy ending.
- There is nothing surprising or interesting about the story. Expected power-ups, predictable sexual tension between the main characters, one-dimensional villains. The repetitive macho one-liners of the leading demon and the low-toned fan service scenes of the leading girl don’t help much either.
VALUE & ENJOYMENT SECTION: 1/10
It was so damn generic, un-evolving and reminiscent of the main plot formula all shonen series follow, that it was simply impossible to enjoy it without making silly comparisons with almost all other series of its kind. Boring to the point of skipping episodes without missing anything. Unoriginal to the point of having nothing else to write about. I don’t recommend this not even as a time killer. Most others in the same genre are far better. read more

How can one count the ways that this series is epic...51 episodes to prove what an epic failure this series really is. Very rarely does a Anime series take you to a point that you would rather gouge your eyes our with rusty nails than watch it, but yet somehow this one does just that.
I cannot stress to those who read the reviews prior to watching the series, this one is to be avoided like a plague.
It is so obvious in its simplistic story line that if really feels that you, the viewer have actually written the story yourself while on a six night drunken bender. The author has taken a simple formula and repeated it with little to no change throughout the series...really, you've seen the first or second episode, you've seen them all.
It is repetitive, tedious, and boring. The voice acting is bad, ear bleeding bad. The colors are washed out and the production values are terrible with animation frame skips, motion blur and outright short cuts visible in every other frame. SFX are canned and the music is low budget.
The only good thing this series has...was the money someone spent to produce it.

World invade by evil Seeds, demon protecting a priestess, etc
Both series have elements that feed on the faults of people transforming people into monsters. For Zenki, they are the "seeds of evil", while in Blue are the "seeds."
Moreover, both Momiji as Chiaki Enno are young girls with important ancestors.
The genres are different though; Zenki is shounen while Blue Seed is more romance.
