Synopsis

Following Gutsy Galaxy Guard`s victory over the Zonder Empire and the 31 Primevals, a new threat makes their appearance on Earth. GGG - with Guy Shishio and the newly-constructed GaoFighGar - team up with their French counterpart Chasseur to battle the evil organization BioNet. Among Chasseur`s ranks is Renais Cardiff Shishioh - a former BioNet cyborg with the relentless pursuit of destroying those who took away her humanity. But as GGG and Chasseur fight the BioNet, GGG`s bases around the world are suddenly attacked, and the recently-discovered "Q-Parts" and the original Gao Machines are stolen by Mamoru Amami, who has been abducted and cloned by an even greater threat known as the "Eleven Kings of Sol." Evicted from Earth by the United Nations, GGG must now travel to the far reaches of the galaxy to battle the Eleven Kings of Sol and save Mamoru before it`s too late.

GaoGaiGar Final is the continuation of the mecha shounen, GaoGaiGar. As expected, don't watch this until you have seen the original to some extent. I won't be touching up on basic stuff you should already know since you saw the original.

The plot of Final takes place, I'd estimate, roughly 6 to 12 months after the final events of the original series. I'd spoil the whole thing if I delved even into the slightest detail, but let me just say this: The story resembles that of the original's second half, totally getting rid of the "Villain of the Week" formula. You should know what you're getting read more

Hey, guess what everyone? Guess whose everybody's favorite robot has come back for yet another adventure! Well, it's none other than GaoGaiGar! A new menace threatens the planet... Huh? Wait, didn't we get a lot of that last time? Not again! Nooo!!! Joking aside, I'm glad to say that this sequel redeems the GaoGaiGar Franchise altogether. If you happen to be a regular viewer who just stumbled upon this series, (such as myself) and got through the first season, it's safe to say that if you watch this, you will be rewarded. Sadly, kid viewers will have to wait until they're teenagers to watch this read more

Recommendations

Darker and Edgier sequels to Super Robot series that manage to one-up them in awesomeness.
If you watched GaoGaiGar FINAL, you probably already have a love for men in giant robots screaming about courage and beating other robots up. This is a continuation of that. But, it's also more. There's a bit more relationship stuff (Though it doesn't get in the way of the good stuff), a lot of political stuff, and some actual, good, well-written drama.
