It is amazing how little things can crush a show. I was content to give Jormungand a positive review, but the whole entire show got screwed over with one terrible ending. If I had known from the start that this is really what the show had been building up to, I wouldn't have started. The show has made it apparent that it isn't stupid; it has a basic idea of how the world works. This is why the show should realize how terrible the ending would be. In fact there is a conversation that lays out in plain English why the plan that Koko goes read more

Scoring Preconditions: While I rate all parts, the overall score takes in most consideration from story, character, and enjoyment. Art and sound are not factors in the overall, although they can slightly enhance or detract from enjoyment portion. I score from as unbiased a view as possible and I view it in a critical sense, not in a simple enjoyment sense. Thus I give at most a one point overall bonus for enjoyment. Story and characters matter most. I will state exceptions to this rule depending on the anime.

Summary: I felt the premise of the anime was weak from the get go. For those who read more

Guns, war, violence, deals, allies, enemies, and loyalty. What do all these words have in common? If the word, “sequel” also pops into your mind, then you guessed right because Jormungand gets a season 2 and rightfully deserves it! Jormungand: Perfect Order returns with Koko Hekmatyar along the alpha crew in this sequel and presents what they do best: making deals and kicking ass.

Jormungand: Perfect Order is the direct sequel of the original series, Jormungand that debuted a few month after its original ending. The sequel is written by the same author Keitaro Takahashi with White Fox handling its animation and Geneon doing the production. read more

****************Mild Spoilers: Read with caution******************

Well, I'll first off pose an arguement to other reviews. Recently I noticed how much hate this anime has been getting due to it's story but I would respectfully disagree. With that out of the way, let me explain.

OK. I quite honestly find the story to be great and unconventional in a positive way. Yes, the story is about building a computer, but we can not just look at the black and white of such a topic. The entire concept behind this show is "Knowledge is Power". The entire idea of a quantum supercomputer exemplifies this read more

Anime: Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2
Both of the protagonists (Lelouch/Koko) are young and very clever people who portray themselves as villains, using illicit methods in order to obtain world peace. The motivations to obtain their goals seem to depend, more or less, on some younger companions (Nunnally/Jonah). Both anime also involve lots of violence and strategies to execute their plans.

Anime: Baccano!
Everything comes together in the end. Events happened during the series seems unrelated, but there's something in them that reveals a much bigger scheme at the end.

Baccano! is a much better series to watch though, honestly. At least it won't let you hanging. So if you're reading this from Baccano!'s side, my bad. It shows up both ways. Shikatanaimon.

Anime: Death Note

-Both of these anime deal with the theme of trying to be as equal or greater than god

-Also deals with the sense making the world a better place to live in.

-Using violence in order to stop violence is quite present in both anime

*Death Note deals with killing criminals to achieve the goal and in Jormungand stopping all wars by shutting down the skies

*In order to achieve these goals, Light uses a death note while Koko uses satellites and a quantum computer

Anime: Monster
"I'll be here sitting on my couch with my bud, eating popcorn while watching every man in this world kill each other" Casper Hekmatyar & Johan Liebert

But on a serious note though if you like shows with characters that has counter-idealistic human nature you should try one or the other.

Anime: Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage
Both are sequels/continuation of their respective previous seasons, both with the emphasis of macro-military warfare and power struggles between factions and countries.

Anime: Black Lagoon
If you loved Koko, her madness, power, and fearless nature. You will love two hands from Black lagoon.
