Tokyo Babylon

The two OVAs don't relate to the amazing manga so the storyline isn't really there to what Tokyo Babylon is really about which is what the manga is about. Overall I give it a 7/10 because it was still quite fun to watch, but I highly recommend the manga, it's brilliant!

If you want to enter the world created for Tokyo Babylon, must forget their prejudices, because the story will test your ability to accept situations strong. Religion, homosexuality and murder are matters treated very natural.

This is an anime produced by Clamp group between 1992 and 1994, surely one of his best stories and is comprised of 2 eggs and 1 movie (live action), produced 5 years after the end of Roe (Tokyo Babylon 1999).

Mysticism, suspense and romance in the exact dose populate this anime which tells the story of two wealthy families, and powerful rivals in Onmyouji (visionaries, advisors, sorcerers, there is a definition that could be given in a single word), the Sumeragi Clan and Sakurakamori respectively good and evil, light and darkness.

Some may look bent to the relationship of the main characters, twins Subaru and Hokuto Sumeragi Seishirou Sakurazuka with that, encouraged by Hokuto, maintains a platonic love, without words or scandalous acts, unless the very Hokuto which, of course, is a the characters more extravagant in the world of anime. Scandalous and bawdy, speaks his mind and will do everything to help her brother and boyfriend.

With all this drama, rejection and acceptance, along with a soundtrack reminiscent of sadness and pain, you may find that it is a romantic story ... that's where you're wrong! In the course of the anime, you'll find that it does not change the fact that Subaru is the strongest known Onmyouji able to use their facilities without any restriction to solve the most varied situations, especially in the trouble which puts to help others.

Despite the love between the rival families, if you are expecting a final kind Romeo and Juliet, forget it! This fantastic work is far from that trap. Death and end a disappointing season totally missed, which is reborn in X, seeking revenge! (... really?). Even if you do not like the genre, watch, it is the quality of animation Clamp.

Se você quer entrar no mundo criado para Tokyo Babylon, tem que esquecer seus preconceitos, pois a história vai testar sua capacidade de aceitar situações fortes. Religião, homossexualidade e assassinatos são assuntos tratados de forma muito natural.

Trata-se de um anime produzido pelo grupo Clamp entre 1992 e 1994, com certeza uma de suas melhores histórias e constituído por 2 ovas e 1 filme (live-action), produzido 5 anos após o encerramento dos ovas (Tokyo Babylon 1999).

Misticismo, suspense e romance na dose exata povoam esse anime, que conta a história de duas famílias ricas, poderosas e rivais no Onmyouji (videntes, conselheiros, magos, não há uma definição que possa ser dada em uma só palavra), os Clãs Sumeragi e Sakurakamori, respectivamente bem e mal, luz e escuridão.
Alguns podem olhar torto para o relacionamento dos personagens principais, os gêmeos Subaru e Hokuto Sumeragi com Seishirou Sakurazuka que, incentivados por Hokuto, mantém um amor platônico, sem palavras ou atos escandalosos, a não ser pela própria Hokuto que, com certeza, é um dos personagens mais extravagantes do mundo dos animes. Escandalosa e desbocada, fala o que pensa e não mede esforços para ajudar o irmão e o namorado.

Com todo esse drama, rejeição e aceitação, juntamente com uma trilha sonora que lembra tristeza e dor, você pode achar que se trata de uma história romântica... aí é que você se engana! Com o desenrolar do anime, irá perceber que isso não altera o fato de Subaru ser o mais forte Onmyouji conhecido, capaz de usar suas técnicas sem qualquer restrição para resolver as mais diversas situações, principalmente encrencas nas quais se mete para ajudar os outros.

Apesar do amor existente entre as famílias rivais, se você está esperando um final tipo Romeu e Julieta, esqueça! Esta fantástica obra passa longe dessa armadilha. Morte e desilusão temperam um final totalmente imperdível, que renasce em X, buscando vingança! (...será?).
Mesmo que você não goste do gênero, assista, vale pela qualidade de animação do Clamp.
