Mixed Feelings
Don't make the mistake I made by watching this before the TV series and manga, which are both so much better than this disgrace of a movie!

The story is squashed up into this 1 film which is an impossible achievement to make it any good, because everything is rushed and there is near to zero on character development as well. The ending wasn't satisfying either.

However, I will say this, the art is beautiful, and seeing as this is CLAMP, that is to be expected, and for it's time it's gorgeous to look at and even today it looks really nice, but that's about as good ...

Brilliant. I felt it was very well captured and all timed out very nicely. The story consists of tragedy, betrayal, belief and one's rights.

The art is beautiful, a real trademark of CLAMP's artwork.

Characters are great too, as none of them seemed to lack personality and held real emotion within the story.

I suggest reading Toyko Babylon (the prequel) to understand a few character's situations before watching this. I didn't, because I didn't know until afterwards. :p

Probably my favourite, if not one of my favourite series'.

Tokyo Babylon (Manga) add
One of the best series' I've read! Dark, corrupted and very tragic. There is also a few comedy moments in there too which I like, but that's as far as it goes with the plot being anywhere near a happy place.

I found it very enjoyable, despite it's plot, which also nearly had me in tears. :p

I do like yaoi/shounen-ai, but only if they are good, and I just felt that Papa to Kiss in the Dark was a excuse for another yaoi series with little to no plot. The plot is just weird, because there's a child involved in this sexual activity like it's a normal thing. That, and they are practically father and son, in which case, I don't believe this scenario would happen. It was a letdown.

From what I remember, the art and sound was fine though.

Ocarina of Time is a fantastic game, and the manga is no exception, it's a great read! The artwork is really beautiful too! :D

Because it's only 2 volumes though, I feel more story and character development could've been put into it, as temples/dungeons were quickly beaten, but that's not to say I wanted them to stretch out as they would in the game, because it would take too long.

Some events also didn't stick to how they were in the game, e.g. Dark Link didn't appear in the Water Temple, so I question to why this is, but it's no big deal I guess. :)

I also ...

Preliminary (Unknown/158 chp)
I'd recommmend this manga if you're into tragic, supernatural, fantasy & end of the world sort of thing. X/1999 has an amazing storyline (don't count the movie!)

I haven't read the whole manga but I have read certain bits, mainly bits I wanted to see, but still, in some ways the manga is better than the anime because they left out some parts like in the manga, there is a lot more gore & torture.

I do hope it'll be finished with the publishing soon, it's been so long (though not for me but in general.)

The two OVAs don't relate to the amazing manga so the storyline isn't really there to what Tokyo Babylon is really about which is what the manga is about. Overall I give it a 7/10 because it was still quite fun to watch, but I highly recommend the manga, it's brilliant!
