Daryun is quite cunning and good job to Arslan for convincing Narsus to join them. Just make him the Court Painter.

Is Narsus' painting that bad?

I like this Narsus guy. Not only is he a great strategist but a great in swords as well. He and Daryun will be a deadly combo. Arslan shows a lot of wisdom that is absent from his father.

Narsus is exactly what I needed for me to fall completely for this anime. The interactions between him and Daryun are absolutely hilarious. Not only that, but I'm really curious to see what his paintings look like lol

The Narsus meeting wasn't as exciting and weird as I hoped. But this show remains very consistent so far. There is a consistent tone, flow and quality from one episode to the next. It's still early. That might change. But so far I appreciate it.

How can Arslan not be able to pick up a few plates? Just bizarre. Can ride a horse. Can fight with a sword. Can't pick up a bowl.

Nice trap door. I'd probably have closed the kid on them though.

They heading back to the castle/capital now?

YanghardNarsus, a taste for culture (Daryun would disagree), adept at the sword, and most of all, saved Pars against a three-nation alliance. Freeling a third power's slaves to make the other two think they betrayed the alliance for Pars, spread a rumour amongst said slaves to sow discord between the remainder of the alliance.

So if it's the equivalent of 300s AD in their world and 5 years prior, Narsus's enacted his stratagem, I think "Tūrān" to the north is the equivalent of the Huns, "Sindhura" to the south is the equivalent of the Kushan Empire and "Türk" to the east is either what's left of the Xianbei or the rising Rouran.

Even if he withdrew himself from the court to live like a hermit painter, he's still a cunning one laying that trap for Kharlan's men. They mention the privileges of being a follower of the Yaldabaoth faith if Narsus joins them under Kharlan, so it's not a pragmatic alliance with Lusitania because he thought Androagaras was just unfit to rule; the traitors want Pars under the same religion as Lusitania, too.

MC could have promised him that he would build a special art gallery where only his paintings would be hung xD I like this anime more and more, MC is a bit boring but Daryun and Narsus are very cool. So we already have the best warrior and strategist, who's next?
