| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- IT HAS BEGUN. Great OST first of all. The episode didn't waste any time with the action. I'm not liking the MC too much though. OP song was alright I guess. For one thing though, I'm not liking Tatsumi's design much. We do meet the other characters though as part of Night Raid. I also noticed they showed a clip of the in the OP song. Can't wait to see them soon. 2 cour show. I'm definitely interested to see where this goes. The Night Raid are pretty badass so far. Great to see Akame too.  |

| Not bad. It's been awhile since I read the manga, but I thought that they handled it well. Animation was decent and Iwasaki's OST is great as usual, though the OP was a bit weak. I guess I'll follow for now. |

| Pretty decent first episode, very faithful to the manga, but that's to be expected of White Fox. I like the voices they chose, though I don't quite recall Akame repeating that one word over and over. It was kind of annoying. The OST was great, though at times unfitting. OP was pretty bad, but that doesn't really matter. My one complaint is that there was an overall lack of serious atmosphere during the second half. Even when shit went down and you-know-what happened, it seemed to have been brushed off quickly and replaced by some silly scene afterwards. The manga was probably like this too, but it felt jarring in the anime. Also, the scene where Aria was yelling was handled terribly in my opinion. Way over the top and comical, it felt like a parody rather than a girl going insane. |

| OP is pretty boring songwise and visually, while the ED is fairly forgettable. Tatsumi is a great lead, Rabac perfect voice and scenes carrying the episode well. Kind of a boring first episode not really dong anything and a predictable plot though did tear up when the shed was opened and it was shown to be Ieyasu in there :( |

| The capital filled with corruption, darkness, and despair :O When Tatsumi was talking about his two friends from the same village... I was looking forward to meet them... but not in this way T.T Using kindness to lure people then killing them. The first episode was quite gruesome! Joining Night Raid already! Killing all corruption seems interesting. The city and the other races! Fantasy is the best! |

Damn that was epic, I'm gonna have to start reading the manga. Loving both the opening and ending themes as well the animation is awesome. |

| Loved the first episode of Akame ga Kill. One thing I liked was how White Fox managed to keep all the facial expressions from the manga. The OP is awesome with all those flashbacks to three of the characters' past and Jaeger appearance. The overall adaptation of the episode was amazing. White Fox did not miss a single detail from the first chapter (with the exception of some meaningless scenes like Tatsumi beating up two guys in the street when they tried to rob him). The soundtrack was phenomenal. I loved how they used tracks that represented some Egyptian theme. With the pace they are going, and the title of the next episode, chapters two and three will be adapted next. Overall, the episode gets a 4.5/5. Hopefully they continue keeping this pace for the adaptation. |

| Damn, the family is fukc'd up, GJ to the MC for killing a loli I approve. I wonder if the manga actually gave time to introduce the MC's nakama. If so I wish I would have read it before watching this, that scene when the Mc saw his nakama tortured would have been alot more devastating. Nice to have a action/shonen series with quality character development. Atleast it seems like the Nightraid are gunna give me a fun ride. :) |

| That episode was brilliant. At first I was pretty shocked that the assassins were going after the girl, as I thought they were killing for good so I was pleasantly surprised by that revelation of the family. So excited for this series. |

| I found the pacing to be a bit weird, with the dramatic and emotional scene with Sayo and Ieyasu, only to jump into a slapstick comedy. Other than that, nice 1st episode |

| That was good I suppose, it felt to be moving at a fast pace at some times. A decent sounding OST and opening, the ED isn't as great. Overall, the turn of events are interesting (although I felt like I've seen a scenario similar to this one multiple times before). I had a small hitch that something was up with those people being generous and all. Hopefully the next episode shows something that will keep me coming back for more. |

| Absolutely perfect man. OMG! They followed the manga all the way trough. I did not find one differ. First episode was amazing man. It bought back all the feelings I had the first time reading it. Amazing how this was all one chapter. The animation looks amazing. The OST impressed me the most. Every time the music came on I was just in ah. Love how they kept the ogre and blood. Also happy they kept the wording and the f'd up stuff also. Nothing less the perfect. Hope they keep this up. 5/5. Can't wait for next episode. |

| That was a great adaptation of the first chapter. Glad they haven't held back on the violence as well. I expected the censoring to be much much worse. |

| Good adaptation so far. I like that Tatsumi doesn't hesitate to kill someone, in contrast with many other MCs who always try to save everyone. |

| Loved it. Sasuga WF :D And Dat OST :3 The OP and ED were both awesome!! All Dat uncensored blood!!! :D Also loved how the scenery changed with each character. Looked really nice. Animation was awesome during Night Raid's attack. Just friggin ownage with blood flying ^^ Akame's swift attacks were really nice. And ofc seeing Tatsumi kill that sadistic bitch without mercy was awesome :D His friends were really BA! May they rest in peace T^T And lol at Mein saying "What's that thing?" |

| Wasn't too bad, definitely had a lot of flaws. They didn't really adapt his friends deaths as well as I thought they could and instead went straight from a super serious death scene into a comedy. Trying to mix in comedic gags and seriousness doesn't work that often but overall 3/5. |
| That was a great first episode!! God am I hyped to see more of this weekly, the manga's been crazily awesome. The OP/ED seems okay The animation was nice too, LITTLE NO CENSORSHIP YES. The VA's were what i'd imagine them to be, Leone's VA sounds like how I thought Leone would sound, and the ending where the rich girl starts ranting was done good. Here comes the best anime of the season, if not the year!! :D |
| Surprised that it was good than what I expected considering this show is kind of hyped this season. I love those bloody scene and killing without hesitation. Sure it's gonna be one of my favorite this season. |

| Wow this has to be my favorite start for the anime season. Everything felt extremely solid. The animation was beautiful the dialog was spot on. Though pretty funny how these turn of events happen I wasn't expecting that at all. Sent with Mal Updater |

| Oh my This show is definitely great, one moment it is full of sillyenes and the next blood and gore, I was like WTF during the whole second half, The protagonist at first i thought oh no another hero wannabe but than the way he killed that bitch later and all the seriousness . I am defiantly looking forward to seeing more of this |
